Comfortable trip to Montserrat with a wonderful guide! - Lorena was a great guide and we really enjoyed the tour! It was the right amount of time for us - it didn’t take up the full day but allowed time for hiking to the cross, watching some of the mass and hearing the boys choir (amazing!). It was nice to be there in the afternoon after the crowds were thinning out. The area is absolutely beautiful and this is a must-do in Barcelona!

Magical afternoon in Montserrat - What an amazing afternoon with our tour guide, Bel. She was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about Barcelona and Monserrat, providing a thorough overview of the history of both places in the comfortable van ride to Montserrat. Once there, she oriented us to the area and recommended a lovely walk where we obtained some gorgeous pictures for some free time. We also grabbed a treat from the local shop. Then, Bel walked us to the monastery where we were lucky enough to view some of the Mass, hear the monks sing, and listen to the unbelievable boys choir. The crowds had died down by the afternoon and weather was much cooler than earlier in the day. It was a magical afternoon. Thank you Bel!

A Must Do Tour of Montserrat - The experience was amazing!! The view was beautiful and the pathway that Bel recommended to us was excellent. Bel was very kind and knowledgeable about Montserrat. It was great having her as our guide as she made sure we were comfortable and had a good afternoon. It was amazing to go to Montserrat in the afternoon as there were fewer people and we were able to enjoy the beautiful views. Would definitely recommend!!

Excellent experience - The place is beautiful, highly recommended. We got the chance to hear the Choir which was surreal. Zhara is really sweet, very accommodating and knows her stuff pretty well. She is almost as excited as the tourist she is guiding. Also, she is very witty which adds to the fun!!

4.75 Great Experience... Would Book Again - Overall we rate this trip as a 4.75 out of 5. Yerai was a phenomenal guide!! He was a wealth of information regarding the history of Catalunya, Spain, and the influences in the region for 2000 years. He balanced facts with humor, and the needs of the guests with the time requirements for the visit (not an easy task with over 20 people who wanted to see everything Monsarrat has to offer). He even ran back with one guest to retrieve a purse left on a trail. Two drawbacks: The first (slight) drawback was not in their control. The boys choir on Sunday evening (4PM tour), did not perform. We did get to hear the monks sing at the end of a mass, so it was a good alternative. Second drawback was the speed at which the driver (Hector) took the mountainous roads. I love roller coasters, and usually drive hills in a similar manner. The difference is that with a bus load of people, safety and the comfort of the passengers should not be sacrificed for getting up & down the mountain quickly. That being said we felt this tour was a great experience, and will be recommending it to at least two co-workers who will be visiting within the next 4 months. Thank you Wine Castle Tours & Yerai for providing such a unique opportunity to learn about Montserrat, the history, and pride associated with this amazing area!

Great afternoon tour of Monserrat with Mariana - Loved the tour, was just right time and group size. Our guide Mariana was friendly and informative and gave us great ideas on how to spend our free time at Monserrat. Going in the afternoon is a good way to avoid the crowds and to hear the monks sing and you make it back to Barcelona for dinner Thanks Mariana !

Poor Monserrat visit - 4pm tour on Friday meant not able to hear boys choir nor able to walk by the Black Madonna - which is the primary purpose in visiting Monserrat. Viator should have posted these disclaimers rather than being surprised to learn this while on the bus to Monserrat
