Extreme value for your money!! - We're from California. Albert spoke good english and was on time. He showed us stuff that you wouldn't have a chance to see unless you're early. More power to Albert and his company.

Best tour in Barcelona - Albert was very knowledgeable about the monastery and its history. Timing was perfect for the hiking with breathtaking views. Along with his sense of humor, he made the tour a pleasant one. Thank you very much.

Beautiful Montserrat - It is truly breathtaking! We were picked up at 6:15AM to drive there. That was perfect! We had the place practically to ourselves! We saw the beautiful sunrise. We also were the first to see the black Madonna before the crowds arrived. I will say that the walk to the cross isn’t an easy walk in the park. It is steep. The walk to the chapel and back down was difficult. Some of us opted to pass on one or both. Our guide gave us a lot of information and was very personable. We were a group of 6 friends doing this tour and we all loved it!

Avoid the Crowds and Have time to Hike - This tour was wonderful. When we arrived, there was hardly anyone there (I didn’t realize how great that was until we had finished our hike). We saw the sunrise, heard the monks chant and didn’t have to wait to see the Black Madonna. After all that, we went on a hike to the cross and the top of the funicular to see the mountains. We then had free time, but our group wanted to continue hiking. Our guide Albert was happy to continue on with us. We then had a little time for shopping and a quick bite before taking the train down the mountain. I would highly recommend this tour. Albert was very communicative before the tour and sent us a lot of information about Montserrat both before and during the tour.

Wonderful trip, picked up on time to reach Montserrat before the crowds. First was the monks chanting then a good hike up and d - Picked up on time to beat all the crowds and hear the monks chanting. Energetic hiking up and down. We did not ride the funicular. Rack train down

The Early Bird Gets the Worm - Albert is a wealth of knowledge and excellent guide. Going to Montserrat early in the morning before any other tour group is key - it lets you have the space mostly to yourself, be early enough to listen to the monks or boys sing, witness a beautiful sunrise, and actually be able to see the Black Madonna (it's housed in a small space that fits maybe 3 people so once the big tour groups arrive the wait would be hours with hundreds of people lined up in a single-file queue). In addition to the above advantages, the views from the mountain and of the mountain itself are simply unique and amazing. And you do all of this and are back in Barcelona by 2:00 p.m. so you still have the rest of the day to continue your adventures of the city. Do yourself a favor and book this tour!

Perfect morning tour - Albert was a great guide for our small group of seven. He communicated well in advance of pick up time from our hotel in Barcelona and provided a live position which was helpful. He was very knowledgeable about Monserrat and gave us options to hike depending on our abilities. Going at an early time before the crowds arrived was a plus. He gave us plenty of free time to take the funicular, get a coffee or snack, visit the museum, or shop. A fantastic morning!

Average experience - Gorgeous Monastery and mountains. This trip was not very well organised for me personally. The guidance throughout the trip felt very scattered and the day didn't flow well. This was not a concern, however just a tip: if you're planning to go after September, consider that during the morning tour you barely see any views and minimal view after the big hike too due to the fog.

Montserrat magnificent. Albert, tour guide, disrespectful.. - The guide refused to drop us off at the hotel claiming there was too much afternoon traffic. He knew I had a fractured heel and I had to walk 0.3 miles to the hotel. Instead he offered a consolation bottle of wine, which I did not accept. The residual pain I endured was indeed memorable.
