An interesting tour with spectacular views - The tour guide revealed many interesting facts about the place. Also, he was very friendly and answered all the questions with pleasure. I highly recommend you to visit the monastery, if you stay in Barcelona.

Monserrat is a must see! - We thoroughly enjoyed the magnificent Monserrat, and our tour guide Han was friendly, funny and informative. We opted for the hike tour (recommend a sweater and make sure you’re wearing shoes with a gripping sole as some parts are steep and it’s a bit cooler up in the mountains than in Barcelona.)

Half-day trip that's worth it - The place is charming. It's very worth it. We knew the interior of the church, we went up the funicular and went down the mountain on foot. The guide Katia who accompanied us was excellent

Excellent tour - Chris was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable about the locations we went to. He paced the tour well and made polite conversation during the tour. He also provided additional suggestions for other places to see based on our conversations. Absolutely recommend. The hike is medium in terms of difficulty as the way down is very steep and can be challenging for those with hip and knee issues.

Montserrat mountain apartments at Christmas - Spectacular mountains to visit at Christmas! We stayed in the good value warm self catering apartments which were clean and bright, check in at the hotel. Kitchen needed some basics like washing up liquid, salt and can opener. Soap was needed for the efficient shower and a hairdryer if desired. Like most places in Europe eating out on Christmas Eve can be tricky due to celebrations so having self catering is ideal. Best to bring what food you need as the shop has only the basics. Although there were tourists less than in the summer I imagine and the walks were cool and quiet. Internet wasn’t great but is available at the hotel as the two are connected. Pictures show the view from our room and the rear red door for easy access. What a magical place to visit I would highly recommend.
