Gorgeous! Awesome and breathtaking views - One of the best parts of our trip! Breathtaking views, the entire day was amazing! The tour guide David was wonderful! He was knowledgeable, kind and helpful. I would do this tour again. The Basilica and top of the mountain were breathtaking!

Montserrat Day trip- must do! - This a must-do while in Barcelona! The Basilica was beautiful. We rode the cable car up to see the gorgeous views at the top and then had an easy hike down. David was very knowledgeable and an excellent guide.

Sights of a lifetime - Coming down the hill is not for sissies. I thought the narrative of the trip understated the difficulty of the hill. I am 78 with bad knees so keep that in mind . The views were magnificent and our guide was a joy. I would go back the next time I’m in Spain . On a weekday in the slow season.

David was an awesome... - David was an awesome guide and we had a great day on the magical mountain of Monserrat. Glad that we selected this tour with the cable car up and the hike down the mountain which really made it a special experience. David was friendly, informative and funny; made the tour all the more special.

Lovely visit to Montserrat with hike and private van transport. - Great guided tour to Montserrat with equal emphasis on the hike / nature aspects of the location as with the monastery. The van ride was smooth and convenient pickup near our hotel. Our guide was personable and gave good information about the site. Be sure to check the weather- it was a little colder than expected .

A great day trip from Barcelona! Beautiful, and a great tour guide - We had a great -- and eventful day -- on our tour of Montserrat. David, our guide, was fantastic! He adapted to the group's needs and abilities and made sure everyone was having a good time.
We loved the small group aspect of this tour -- we had 7 total people in our group. That allowed us to get to know them a little, as well as our guide. He was engaging and informative on the drive, tour, and hike down the hill. It was a beautiful place and a nice respite from the crowds of Barcelona. When we arrived the view down the mountain was shrouded in clouds and stunning. As the morning progressed, the clouds lifted providing a beautiful view. Atop the funicular we saw some goats, and then proceeded down the mountain.
And for the eventful part of our day ... minutes before we were set to leave there was a car fire in the parking lot, closing the one road in/out. After watching the flames and smoke, David got us out as quickly, easily, and safely. Moments after we got in the car, a bus was stuck perpendicular to the road (no idea how that happened). David quickly jumped out and helped the driver get moving again. Not only did we have a great tour, we had an amazingly helpful guide!

Very enjoyable day, in beautiful setting - We had a fabulous half day, our guide was excellent and knew lots about the site. The cable bar ride and hike down was a definite highlight, the hike was quite steep in places but perfectly manageable as the path was good. We had an hour free for lunch and enjoyed one of the cafes though later I noticed the buffet which also looked very tasty and good value.
