• Abadia de Montserrat - Guests will be picked up at 8:30 am from their hotel or apartment in Barcelona and transported directly to Montserrat in a private vehicle, which is about an hour’s drive. Upon arrival, a guide will lead a walking tour of the monastery, detailing the mountain’s geological formation and the history of the Black Madonna. Visitors can attend a mass in the church, admire the beautiful interior, and explore the unique chapels with the guide.
• Montserrat Museum - There is also an opportunity to visit the museum, which boasts one of Catalonia’s most remarkable art collections, including sculptures, drawings, and paintings. Visitors can view works by artists such as Picasso, Dali, Caravaggio, Monet, Sisley, Renoir, Rusiñol, and Pisarro, among others.
• Mercat de Montserrat - Enjoy the breathtaking views and unique landscape of the area, followed by time to sample and purchase Montserrat’s renowned cheeses and honey at the market.
• Sant Sadurni d’Anoia - The tour continues to a local restaurant where guests will enjoy a delightful three-course meal, savoring the area’s exclusive gastronomy, one of the world’s most important appellations of origin, along with a complimentary glass of Cava (Catalan Champagne).
• Vilafranca del Penedes - The next stop is a small, family-owned winery where guests will have an unforgettable experience learning about the wine production process from vineyard to table. With the guide, guests will listen to a specialized enologist who will introduce them to the enchanting world of wine. A private tasting of various local grape varieties, such as macabeu, xarel·lo, and parellada, as well as others from different countries, will be offered.
