Lovely Paella Sunset Meal - We had a lovely evening with Alfonso & Txema for our Paella class. We enjoyed participating in making the ingredients and watching Alfonso cook the paella. We were greeted with a lovely glass of cava and made and enjoyed white sangria with our paella. The gazpacho was so delicious. And the red prawns and mussels were out of this world. Way better than any restaurant paella! The location is quite fun too, overlooking the port and a perfect sunset view. highly recommend!

Wonderful experience! - We had a really great class and loved learning how to make not just paella but also sangria and gazpacho. Alfonso and Txema were wonderful and generous hosts. It was so nice to come in from a super sweaty August day to their inviting apartment and some cold beverages to get started. They were super gracious and patient with our elementary age kids as well, which we definitely appreciated.

This is the ONLY class to take to learn paella - As a professional chef that has taught cooking classes for over twenty years, a bucket list item was learning to make a true paella while in Barcelona. Thankfully, I discovered chef Allfonso on Viator. This is not a “school” but an opportunity to learn to cook in his home, beautifully situated overlooking the yacht marina. He and his partner create an environment where you feel like guests that get put to work in the most enjoyable way. While enjoying Cava, we reviewed what we would be making, the ingredients and then got to work. Our menu included gazpacho (don’t kid yourselves, as simple as it is, it is an art), paella with calamari, shrimp and mussels, and a white sangria. All of it was hands on and absolutely delicious. Dessert was made ahead, which given it was creme Catalan (similar to a creme brûlée), it needed the chilling time. All of this was enjoyed on the private rooftop garden of his building with panoramic views. Hands down a perfect experience that would rival and exceed any professional school with the elements taught, then layered with the personal touch that only comes from someone’s home and heart.

Amazing evening in Barcelona - Great hosts, great food, fun experience in a truly great Barcelona location. Alfonso and Txema provided us with a wonderful evening, starting with the welcome. Much of the preparation was in their kitchen, followed by cooking on their deck overlooking the Barcelona harbor where we were also treated to a magnificent sunset. We learned about food, history and special preparation (including their secret ingredient which they share). Can't wait to try the recipes at home.

Brilliant views, food, drink and hosts! - We had a wonderful time! Mom, dad and teen children. It was a unique experience to be in someone’s home for the demonstration and dinner. The views from the patio are outstanding and the hosts were absolutely delightful. Not to forget the food- the most delicious gazpacho I have ever eaten, bright, fruity sangria and Paella to die for. 5 🌟

A wonderful Paella & Sangria evening - We were greeted with Spanish Cava (sparkling wine) which continued to be offered throughout the evening Alfonso and Txema were great hosts. Together we talked about food and travels as we prepared a great meal. Our cooking lesson was fun and this morning ( next day) I received an e-mail with all the recipes we consumed last evening. The meal was enjoyed on their rooftop patio over looking the beautiful marina and an incredible view of Barcelonia

Amazing experience Paella Master cooking class - Having completed another tour to Sagrada Familia, other visitors had suggested that we should not miss this experience. They were right!! How lucky were we to be invited into a chef's kitchen and learn firsthand how to make this traditional Spanish dish as well as Gazpacho and the most amazing white Sangria and don't forget the dessert. 😋 Alfonso and Txema were amazing hosts sharing their home and beautiful terrace with spectacular views of the harbor!! Alfonso is generous with his time and willingness to share his secrets and expertise. We are looking forward to showing off our new talents with our friends when we return home. Highly recommend to all!!
