Highlights
  • Palace of Catalan Music - Choose the departure time most convenient for you, then meet your guide at the Palau de la Música Catalana in La Ribera. One of the most popular concert halls in Barcelona, the UNESCO-listed Palau de la Música Catalana is a masterpiece of Art Nouveau architecture.

Head directly inside with your skip-the-line ticket, and begin your guided tour in the Rehearsal Hall of the Orfeó Catala. Learn how the foundation stone was laid here in 1905, and watch a 15-minute clip about the building’s history as well as society in the early 20th century.

Next, feast your eyes on the elaborate staircases that lead up to the second floor. Study the lavish tiling that covers the underside, then peer through the unusual glass balusters that support the marble banisters as you ascend the stairs.

Find yourself bathed in light as you enter the Lluís Millet Hall, which features floor-to-ceiling windows that look out onto the balcony colonnade of the main façade. Gaze out at the pillars that are decorated with intricate mosaics depicting flowers in a tribute to nature.

Your final stop is the Concert Hall. Be overcome with awe as you step into this magnificent hall. Look around you at the massive panes of stained glass that are set in arches along the walls, then turn your attention to the room’s centerpiece: a large skylight in the shape of an inverted dome.

As you tour the auditorium with your guide, learn about the Catalan architects responsible for the décor, including Eusebi Arnau, Pau Gargallo, Lluís Bru and Antoni Rigalt.

After around an hour, your tour concludes near the Palau de la Música Catalana’s exit.

Fascinating unhurried guided tour of a stunning jewel of a building - This was a real highlight of our visit to Barcelona. The interior is simply stunning, and the great thing about this guided tour is that they don't rush you - you actually get time to sit in the auditorium, look around and enjoy the decoration. It's a small group (~20 people) so it doesn't feel crowded, and our guide was genuinely enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Thoroughly recommended if you're interested in architecture of this period, and especially if you're not able to see a concert in the Palau during your visit.

Music for the ears and eyes! - The unique beauty of this music hall was breathtaking. I enjoyed learning the history of the choir and the hall’s designer too. We were able to hear some singers and the acoustics were exceptional! Highly recommend the guided tour.

He waited, but like all good - The only private site in Barna that offers quality of 10 at fair price. The construction is wonderful. The Guide and its explanations (Claudia) a joy. Essential. I have already made many Trips to Barna and I was missing this play. Now I'm apt to see some concert inside, and that they say is not one of the best acoustics.

Loved the theatre! 10/10 - Do not overlook this amazing theatre, even with all the amazing architecture in Barcelona. The guided tour was absolutely worth it. You see a short video to give you some background about the theatre then we had an excellent guide show us around. We were able to go on the stage, hear the organ play, and see the building up close. The tour was around an hour which was perfect. I definitely would look into seeing a performance there. I've toured many famous theatres, and this was one of my favorites by far.

Beautiful spot to visit - This is a beautiful spot to visit. I did a guided tour in Spanish, and my guide did a great job covering the venue while also giving us some time to snap pictures in the main hall. Be sure to leave yourself some time to see the temporary exhibit in the café/restaurant space.

English Tour - Waste of money - Low level of English, my mother tongue, with a strong accent of an Asian country. Almost impossible to understand for some friends here despite having B2 and C1 Cambridge Certificates. I gave 2 stars for the spectacular building.
