This cable car has been in operation since 1930 and features two cabins that travel at a speed of 5 meters per second (cable car ticket not included).
- Abadia de Montserrat - Next, we will arrive at the monastery area, located high above the city of Barcelona, to explore one of Spain’s most significant religious sites at Montserrat Mountain. We will discuss various routes in Montserrat and other pilgrimage sites.
Our walking tour begins here, where we will visit the famous Black Madonna of Montserrat inside the church, attend a choir performance by the Montserrat Boys, and explore the Royal Basilica of Montserrat adjacent to the monastery.
You will then have some free time to explore the grounds at your leisure, visit the monastery gift shop, and taste four local liquors of Montserrat made from a monk’s recipe (tasting fee included).
