Another Great Tour with Montefusco Cycling - This was my third cycling tour with Claudio Montefusco. The first was 2019 with a group of 8 on a 9 day TransPyrenees tour. The second was a ride the day before with my wife (on an E bike) around Barcelona. She is not an experienced rider; Claudio was patient and took us on a course that kept her comfortable and confident. The most recent was a solo with Claudio in the Montseny mountains outside of Barcelona. I was picked up from my Barcelona hotel and provided a nice Orbea road bike. Claudio set a comfortable pace. There were only a few cars on the chosen roads and beautiful scenery. The climb to Col Formic was steady and challenging and the Montseny climb was punchy. After the ride we had a nice hearty lunch. Claudio is friendly and knowledgeable and I would not hesitate to recommend Montefusco Cycling or ride with him again.

Can’t Go Wrong With Montefusco Cycling! - This was my fourth and fifth ride with Claudio in Barcelona, spanning the last three years. I consider Claudio a friend now, because that’s just how he treats you when you go on one of the magnificent rides that he hosts you on. I’ve climbed Tibidabo twice with Claudio now, once post-Covid (he was very encouraging and accommodating regarding my after-effects) and once more a couple weeks ago. Claudio is happy to go at the pace you’re comfortable with, and will customize a ride for you to make sure it is both challenging and enjoyable. He also makes sure your safety is a top priority. The rides themselves are stunningly beautiful, and Claudio will give you all kinds of history and regional facts while you ride. His heart rate rarely goes above 120 so he’ll offer up some tour guide extras while you push your way up a long (but enjoyable) climb. I did the Costa Brava ride last year, and it was magnificent. Beautiful coastline vistas and fun rollers of climbs and descents. Highly recommend! Can’t say enough about what a great and reasonable service Claudio offers, don’t hesitate and book a ride with this gentleman and one of his excellent road bikes, you won’t regret it! Gravel ride around Barcelona - I booked the gravel version of this ride on Montefusco Cycling’s website, but originally found out about them on Trip Advisor, so wanted to post my review here. Barcelona and the surrounding area is a great place for cycling, and this was a super fun and moderately challenging bike ride. Highly recommend reaching out to this company if you are an avid cyclist. They can cater the ride to your ability. Claudio, my guide, was very friendly and knowledgeable, and was able to determine the right pace for me early in the ride. I also recommend choosing the lunch option. You will go to an awesome cycling-themed Italian restaurant. I will 100% book another ride with them if I ever come back to Barcelona. Highly recommend!

Barcelona hills ride - Nice variation of quiet roads out of the city. The bike supplied was very good for the hills. We did experience rain (rare) and Claudio rerouted to less exposed roads.

Easily the highlight of my trip. Thanks Claudio! - Wow! Can’t recommend Claudio enough if you’re here to do see some sights and take in the mountains with some cycling without the hassle of bringing your own bike. We did three big hills and it was a delight to share the ride with Claudio. The bike itself was awesome! Cannot wait to be back in town again for part two. And if you’re looking to bike outside of Barcelona, he can do that too.

Guided cycle hire around hills of Barcelona - We booked a morning ride on the day of the Barcelona Marathon which our partners were running. It was easy to book and Claudio always responded to enquiries quickly and was flexible to our requirements The route culminating at the 500m church was excellent with outstanding views across Barcelona Highly recommended

Great views - As of this writing, Claudio had 281 excellent reviews, one very good and one lousy, so you get the general idea. I'll just review the Hills of Barcelona, which I did yesterday with Claudio, who teamed me up with another rider from the USA. We were compatible, which was great. The bikes were in excellent condition, as you might imagine. The three hills were not tough. The other rider was short on time, so we didn't do the fourth optional climb. The view from Tibidabo - after a 7K climb at maybe 4% - was beautiful. From there, we short-cutted back on a somewhat technical descent, but for any experienced rider one that isn't be too demanding, but fun. This tour - THOB - is not for inexperienced riders, as you might imagine. That's the only caution I offer. Good luck to all. I think you're gonna like this one.

Montefusco Cycling w/Claudio - 100% recommend! - Claudio was an excellent guide! It was an amazing day exploring the hills of Barcelona to reach Tibidabo. During the descent Claudio suggested a stop at local shop - Guava Bikes. Talked to the owners about their really cool gravel bikes designed in Barcelona. Definitely want to try one on my next visit. Since we expected a hot and humid day, Claudio picked me up at the hotel for an earlier start. I had an Orbea Orca for the ride - it was well maintained and ready to go. 100% recommend Montefusco Cycling - don't miss it! So much more to explore when I'm back in Barcelona.

The Hills of Barcelona are alive with -- cycling - I thoroughly recommend Montefusco Cycling for a wonderful taste of cycling in and around Barcelona. Because of scheduling and doing other things in Barcelona I requested a bike and personal tour ride the day before. Although all the scheduled tours were full, the owner was able to arrange a ride in the Barcelona hills with his son as guide. He had a great Orbed carbon bike ready in the (almost perfect) size, installed my pedals and adjusted the saddle to the right height. They arrived on time at our Airbnb and I then had a terrific 4+ hour ride heading out of Barcelona and up to the higher hill around Barcelona, Tibidabu which has an amusement park and beautiful church. If one has more time -- and is faster than I am - there are several other hills to climb for an extended climbing day. Bruno - my riding buddy - was a terrific companion, describing the various areas we went through as well as a the current stages of TDF. Very glad I took advantage of the tie and highly recommend Montefusco Cycling for a great experience experiencing cycling around Barcelona.
