Highlights
  • Oscar Getz Museum of Whiskey History - Originally established as a College & Seminary in 1826, it was later transformed into a hospital for both Union and Confederate forces during the Civil War. It also served as a home for orphaned boys under the care of The Sisters of Charity. Today, the Oscar Getz Whiskey Museum occupies the main floor, offering visitors a deep dive into Kentucky’s rich culture.

To kick off our tour, you’ll enjoy a freshly baked biscuit from local baker Lisa Reed Sheckles, accompanied by Famous Jake’s Country Sausage.

  • Talbott Tavern - Built in 1779 at the crossroads of the early American frontier, the Tavern has welcomed many notable guests, including Jesse James and King Louis Philippe.

Here, you’ll have the chance to try a southern delicacy: fried green tomatoes, paired with 1792 single barrel whiskey, hand-selected by the Tavern!
