Nice bike ride through Bari - Today we did a 2-hour bike tour through Bari. A fun way to discover everything in Bari in a short time.

Disappointing experience - Our guide Carlotta was very enthusiastic and spoke several languages which is impressive. The tour we went on took in English and French speakers. We didn't find it easy to understand what she was saying in English, perhaps the rapidity of the delivery given she needed to give the same information twice to the group.
The tour advertised a trip to the fish market and an ice cream, neither of which happened. Frequently, we were told we have free time which is not what we expected to hear on a guided tour. Bari old district does not really lend itself very well to this type of tour as relatively small and crowded streets and outside this area it is just a busy city. One of the group had bike trouble so unsure the bikes were in the best shape given we cycled wholly on the flat.
We were offered use of the bikes to go to the beach in the afternoon which was kind but essentially we didn't feel it was an enjoyable experience overall I'm afraid.
