  • Basilica Cattedrale Metropolitana Primaziale San Sabino - The cathedral is dedicated to Saint Sabinus of Canosa, a bishop of Canosa di Puglia in the 4th century, whose relics were brought to Bari to protect the city from Saracen invasions.
  • Basilica San Nicola - The basilica was built in the 11th century to house the relics of Saint Nicholas, the 4th-century bishop of Myra (in modern-day Turkey), who is revered as Saint Nicholas of Bari.

The transfer of his relics to Bari in 1087 brought significant religious prestige to the city.

  • Piazza Mercantile - Piazza Mercantile dates back to the Middle Ages and has been a central hub of commercial and civic activity in Bari since its inception.

It was originally the main marketplace and trading center of the city.
