Best experience in Bari with superb guide! - Francesco was an incredible guide, one of the best. His language skills are many and his English absolutely flawless. The historic walk was amazing. Through his great knowledge of Bari’s history and legends and stories around me, I gained a better knowledge of Bari both then and now. Many times I was amazed and given explanations for things I wondered about. Francesco told me about big and small and answered all the questions. His knowledge and skills are inexhaustible and he is also very nice. I learned a lot and would not hesitate to attend a Part 2, if it existed. If you want to do something in Bari this is a must! 5 stars.

Charming and informative tour of Bari! - We had an amazing and informative day in Bari with our delightful guide Francesco. Francesco is Barese and his love for his city and its history was obvious. We toured Bari Vecchia and learned of its history and saw it as a still vibrant living city. Highlights included a visit to the Basilica di San Nicola, the Cattedrale di San Sabino and ending along the beautiful Lungomare. Francesco gave us a view into Bari and his family's history, so very interesting. Just remember that if you are asked, "Would you like to taste the focaccia?" The answer is always yes. Grazie Mille Francesco.

Outstanding tour and guide - Francesco was a very knowledgeable and excellent guide. The tour made me fall in love with Bari as he provided a comprehensive history of the city through the eyes of a local who loves his home. You will not be disappointed! The tour group was small, only myself and my husband. It was more of a conversation with a local instead of a lecture of facts. You will love this tour!

Excellent tour! - I toured Bari with Francesco; his historical walking tour was excellent. He is a local Barese with an obvious love of the city itself and its history. A three hour tour .. there were many points of interest and quirky stories, time passed so quickly. As the tour was perfect, we also arranged 2 other days to tour out to Matera on one, and Alberobello/Locorotono on another. Walking about in these smaller towns, it is clear that Francesco knows the places to go … knows the locals … and knows the history of these special places. I could not recommend his tours more highly!

Great walking Bari tour - We arrived in Bari in the morning and had a tour booked with Francesco in the afternoon. Having grown up in Bari, Francesco was very knowledgeable and took us places we would have never seen and explained all the history. Francesco is very friendly and knows all the locals so we get a true sense of of the town.we highly recommend this tour with Francesco.

Best walking tour! - If you are hesitating on booking this tour or any tour with Francesco, don't! Book this tour, you will not regret it. Our only regret was that we didn't realize he did tours of the other areas of Puglia and book him for more of our stay there, we truly wish we had. That being said we did the walking tour in Bari and as a group of friends who travels often and has done more walking tours than I can count, this was one of the best. Francesco had a well mapped out plan for the walking tour. He added history, legend and personal stories that made the tour stand out and made it memorable. He was easy to talk to and ask questions with and allowed for us to feel really comfortable. We still are retelling some of the stories he shared with us. He took us to all the famous spots and then some others we hadn't even known about. On top of the walking tour being truly wonderful, Francesco gave us great spots to great spots to eat all the Bari Specialties. He did this even before we met with an extensive message about must visit spots, then on our walk he pointed out and gave us a few more (spaghetti assassina spot was SO good). To add to his kindness he even gave us spots to see, eat and experience in Alberobello, Matera, Ostuni and Monopoli. We were exploring the region and even though we hadn't booked him for tours in those areas ( we still wish we had) he helped us sort of figure it out on our own. I really do not have enough kind words to say! We really loved this tour, meeting Francesco and hearing his wonderful stories about his Grandma. Do yourself a favor and book his tours!

Highly enjoyable and recommended - Francesco was incredible He took his time, explained the history behind the monuments, shared some legends and pointed out interesting facts about the architecture along the way. He took me off the beaten path as well and showed me Bari that other tours would not have done. I highly recommend this tour.

As good as it gets - Spent a morning with Francesco and a more decent tour guide is difficult to image. The details added greatly to our experience as did his wit and insights. We did stop for a drink which we would certainly recommend & discovering Italy’s best ice cream an added bonus.

A real discovery of a beautiful city - The three hour walk through the history of Bari, from the old historical centre to the newer parts of Murat and Madonnella, was a a real discovery for us. Francesco, our guide, was able to make the walk interesting and full of both fun and teachable moments. He was incredibly knowledgeable like only a local could be and we found our whole tour an incredibly satisfying and interesting experience. We warmly recommend it!
