Highlights
  • Basilica San Nicola - Basilica of Saint Nicholas is an important pilgrimage destination both for Roman Catholics and Orthodox Christians and one of the most important attraction.
  • Cattedrale di San Sabino - The cathedral is the seat of the Archbishop of Bari-Bitonto, dedicated to Saint Sabinus, a bishop of Canosa, whose relics were brought here in the 9th century. Here you will appreciate underground roman walls named Succorpo.
  • Piazza Mercantile - The piazza has always represented the heart of commercial and administrative activities in the city due to the presence of the city market (not currently in this area) and of the palazzo Sedile, which is the historical reference point of Bari city Hall. Today, for the citizens of Bari it is an irreplaceable meeting point.
  • Castello Normanno Svevo - The Norman Swebian Castle hosts the collection of plaster casts
    and temporary art exhibitions.
  • Piazza del Ferrarese - Piazza Ferrarese has always been one of the access points to the old town which, with its narrow streets, alleys and small openings, extends from Piazza Ferrarese - Piazza Mercantile up to the Normanno -Svevo castle.
During recent restoration, which involved not only the square but also the surrounding buildings, a short stretch of the ancient Via Appia
    – Traiana came to light, built by the Romans in the early second century A.D.

Cycling food tour Bari - We had an excellent morning with an easy cycle around Bari while tasting many delicious local foods. The guides were really pleasant and helpful throughout the experience. We could have kept the bikes for the remainder of the day but it was extremely hot so decided not to.

Fun experience throughout Bari - Fantastic bike tour with a very nice young lady named Antonella. She is very pleasant to deal with and has a solid knowledge of everything to see in Bari. Incredibly friendly and makes a perfect switch between Italian, English, French. Nice stops with good food and Things to do. Antonella, big kudos to you!

Book this tour! - This was a wonderful day with our amazing guide Alessia. It is a great way to get around the old city and we saw a bit of the new city as well. The food stops were great also! She knows the history of Bari inside and out being a local and her love of the city added so much to our tour! A must do when here!

Bike and Food Tour Fabulous. - Antonella and Anna were wonderful guides. They were polite, knowledgeable and enjoyable to spend time with. The food stops were tasty and we never had to wait long to try local favourites. The ataff when we arrived we’re very welcoming and courteous. The information on the website indicated pick up was provided, which it was not , but it was an easy walk from the cruise terminal. I would highly recommend. the tour.

Disappointing - I was really looking forward to this based on the reviews but unfortunately it wasn’t a good tour but an historical tour. The first 2 hrs was riding around seeing all of the sights and that was lovely but that’s not what I booked. I had already done a similar tour. The food tour was tacked in the end in the last 40 mins. I was told there was an overflow so our good tour was added on the end and I was disappointed. At the end we just rushed and had a spicy pasta, with a sip of wine, we had a taste of some famous focaccia, and gelato. That the very petting we also had a famous calzone type food local to Puglia. Four foods and was rushed the tour really was a cultura/ Historical tour of the area not a food tour
