It stands as a symbol of Apulian Romanesque architecture from the 11th and 12th centuries. During our visit, we’ll delve into Bari’s rich history, letting the stones narrate their tales.
• Cattedrale di San Sabino - The Cathedral of San Sabino represents ecclesiastical authority, serving as the episcopal seat and the home of Bari’s first patron saint, San Sabino. Our tour will include one of Bari’s oldest yet most contemporary churches, featuring a crypt that maintains its 18th-century design and an archaeological area with remnants of the Domus Romana, Timothy’s mosaic, and a 9th-century Byzantine church.
• Castello Normanno Svevo - This castle symbolizes the military and political might of the Normans and later the Swabians. Together, we’ll explore the different construction phases, identify the towers, and recount the various events that took place within the fortress (exterior).
