- I Trulli di Alberobello - World Heritage Site - The trulli of Alberobello in Puglia are renowned globally and have been a UNESCO heritage site since 1996. Their allure stems from a mysterious origin, esoteric symbolism, and remarkably modern eco-sustainable architecture. After a 90-minute guided tour, you’ll have an hour and a half for lunch before heading to Matera.
- Matera - Located in the Basilicata region, Matera is an hour from Alberobello. The city, known for its Sassi, is also called the eternal city, the Jerusalem of the West, and was the European Capital of Culture in 2019. A guided tour will be provided.
- Sassi di Matera - This site in southern Basilicata comprises the ancient city of Matera and the Park of the Rock Churches, which are set in the natural cavities of the Murge. Spanning 1,016 hectares, this remarkable troglodyte settlement remains intact and includes over a thousand homes and numerous commercial activities and shops. After the guided tour, you’ll have some free time for shopping before departure.

This experience was well worth the value. - Within the first hour of the tour of the UNESCO site in Matera, I was very pleased with the experience. The bus ride from Bari left exactly on time, the driver, Vito, was professional and I felt very safe on his bus. Our guide, Alessandra, continually checked in with our group anticipating any of our needs and making sure we were comfortable. I appreciated the fact that she always made sure we knew where the restrooms were at every point during the 8 hour excursion. She constantly reminded us of meeting points and departure times, although we were never rushed. Her English was impeccable and she had excellent communication skills. Above all, it was very clear that she had a great passion for her work. I highly recommend this experience to Matera and Alberobello. Well worth the cost, the value was exceptional.

Don't miss Matera and Alberobello - Both cities, Metera and Alberobello, the travel through the countryside was a highlight for me as well, Very beautiful scenery and you should mention in the description, it is worth mentioning !!, Daniela the escort !!! VERY good, informative, patient, kept coming with all the information and still shows passionate about the area, after so many years as a tour guide

Misleading itinerary and not worth the money - The itinerary is misleading and incorrect as you do not get 3 hrs in Matera and Alberbello. Majority of the time is spent in the guided tour that is slow paced with some waste of time by entering several shops. As a result, you only get 30 min and 45 min (out of 2/2.5 hrs in each place) in Matera and Alb respectively to explore on our own. This is not enough time to soak such beautiful places and seems like a waste of money. One maybe better off doing these places on your own for full experience. Also, as per the itinerary, the admission to Matera cave is included but we paid 5 euros each to enter. So we felt cheated.
