Praça Professor Velho da Silva - We climbed to the top of the largest seaside monolith in the world, 844 meters high. A good combination of walking and climbing/abseiling.
Nature is completely exuberant and present throughout the path, there are even encounters with small wild animals.
The view is always breathtaking.
And the exercise is guaranteed, it takes 3 hours going up and almost that much going down.

Taking an Uber is the easiest and fastest way.
The nearest metro station is Jardim Oceânico and is a 15-minute walk away, GPS is required along the way.
It is a round square that also serves as a roundabout. We meet in the center.

Great experience - I did the trail with Rafael who was equipped with all the necessary equipment to reach the top, this included climbing with safety equipment and rappelling, Rafael is very well prepared for the trail

Such an amazing experience! - Rafael was amazing! A really knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide, he even rescued two seperate other groups whilst we we climbing! Well worth the money and an experience to remember!

This hike will be one of the most memorable experiences of your stay in Rio! - I did this hike through this agency during my time in Rio, and it was a great experience! The guide Rafael assisted through-out the hike (through the more difficult parts of the hike) and gave good information that enriched the experience. Very good travel agengy, would recommend doing activities through them and especially the Pedra da Gavea hike, definitely highlight of the trip!
