- Pedra da Gávea - The Garganta do Céu trail begins at the same location as the traditional Pedra da Gávea trail. Despite being shorter, this trail is considered more challenging due to its steepness and the need for good navigation skills in the Atlantic Forest. The forest is dense until reaching the Garganta do Céu cave, which offers one of the most stunning views of Rio de Janeiro. This cave is situated on the southern face of Pedra da Gávea, where the rock creates a beautiful natural frame and a viewpoint providing a unique perspective of Dois Irmãos hill and São Conrado beach. After a photo break, the group will return along the same path to the starting point. This hiking tour is located within sector C of the Tijuca National Park, placing you in the heart of Rio de Janeiro’s Atlantic Forest, with a high likelihood of encountering wildlife during the hike. Join the exclusive group of those who have visited Garganta do Céu.

Good Trail and Guide - The guide is informative and gave me lots of information about the national park, including plants and animals. He assessed my capability and arranged suitable breaks at suitable intervals. His briefing on rope climbing was adequate. His photography was good and let me have lots of photos with quality.

Description is extremely misleading... -
Description is extremely misleading. It is very intense rock climbling/scrambling. Would not recommend to beginner. Our tour guide was amazing though. Views are amazing as well
