- Pedra do Telegrafo - The hike to the peak of Telegraph hill will take about 30-45 minutes. From the top you will experience amazing panoramic views of beaches and landscapes. You will have the opportunity to take photos from the famous rock that juts out to create an optical illusion of being high above the ground with the sea below in the background. Watching the sun rise from the top of the hill is even more spectacular and memorable.

Discover a new view of Rio! The Telegraph Rock hike is one of the most popular experiences for tourists because of the incredible views and the opportunity to make photos that appear that you could be falling to your death at any moment!
This rock is located on the West side of Rio, in a safe neighborhood, outside of the common tourist route.
This experience has two options:
Sunrise hike experience. For adventurous hikers who don’t mind awakening very early in the morning.
Morning hike.
Sunset hike experience. For people who don’t like get up early in the morning.
The returning times for Sunrise/Sunset:
Sunrise: 05:00AM
Morning hike: 07:00AM
Sunset: 05:00PM

- Wear shoes and clothing appropriate for hiking. Consider bringing water, a snack, sunscreen, insect repellent, and a flashlight for the sunrise hike.

Perfect Views and Hike - Caio was the best guide on this hiking tour we could’ve gotten. He killed it with the pictures and videos with my mom, uncle, friend, and I. Plus we had a lovely dog accompany us along the way. It was good genuine talks and good local food afterwards! I recommend 🤙 The views were insane and worth every step up and down sunset.

Very memorable experience. Highly recommend! - This was the most memorable part of my trip to Rio. I took the sunrise option and couldn’t recommend more. My guide booked me a driver for around 3am pick up from Cobacabana beach, and sent me photographs of my driver and the car. The walk itself took around 30-40mins, and we arrived with plenty of time to see the sun rise. It’s an incredible view! There was 2 other small groups there, in total around 10 of us, so we had plenty of time to take all the photographs we wanted. Highly recommend.

Worth The Hike!!!! - Caio was amazing and his dog came along for hike. I ended up being the only person in this tour which was great!! The hike is NO joke. But, it was all worth it in the end to watch the sunrise and capture amazing pictures and videos.

Great Tour Guide & Beautiful Views - I had a great tour experience with Caio! I enjoyed the car service to and from the hike and the friendly car driver. Caio was very patient and made sure we felt comfortable during the entire experience. The views were amazing and Caio captured many beautiful pictures for us! I would definitely recommend this tour!

Must Do Beautiful Hike! - We got to see an incredible view thanks to our tour guide Caio. The hike itself is steep but not too difficult and definitely worth it. Caio was very informative, friendly, and encouraging. He welcomed us with insect repellant which is definitely a must! He also helped us take perfect photos with different angles and poses. I would 10/10 recommend going on this beautiful hike and the Tour guide Caio.

Fun and awesome time on a rock - Caio was very informative and a fun tour/hike and guide. Best picture suggestions. Good laughs. Great vibes. Would recommend to anyone wanting to go to do pedra do telegrafo. Even the little snack suggestion to hold us over for the car ride back to our hotel.

Take some water - it was super interesting! Fascinating view! To walk there it’s about 1hour . I was sucked for 1month and not recovered yet. The guide was so helpful and take care of me to climb to the mountain. The telegram stone it’s super cool! After that I share photos with my friends everybody yelling it’s too crazy! ; )

Excellent Tour - Guide, Caio, was exceedingly professional and truly cared that I had an outstanding experience - which I did. Great communication from the night before through to completion. We prearranged to start the pick up a bit earlier, to be sure we got the best photos according to the exact time of sunrise that day. (Nice weather helped too). 100 percent recommended this tour with this guide. Hike was of moderate intensity - the reward at the top was well worth it, and the best memory of my trip.

Nice hike to telegraph rock - Caio took us on a moderate hike to check out the rock, and checked in regularly to make sure we were comfortable. He also gave recommendations on other excursions.
