Fantastic food tour in Lima - Valeria and Aura are fantastic food tour guides! I thoroughly enjoyed the start of our tour reviewing the basic ingredients of Peruvian cooking which included indigenous fruits, vegetables, cacao beans and spicy peppers. We continued our food journey with a delicious, medium roast, Peru coffee tasting with empanadas filled with Aji de gallina. Next we enjoyed grilled beef hearts accompanied by tasty dipping sauces, rice with corn and wok-fired peppers/red onions. We followed that up with a chef demonstrating how to make ceviche with red onions, hot peppers, lime juice and fish soup and a bartender mixing the National cocktail, a Pisco Sour — which were light, refreshing and packed with so much multi-dimensional flavor. Lastly, I finished with a two-scoop gelato featuring chirimoya/lucuma that was heavenly. In addition to providing such a great background and history of all of the dishes/cocktails, Valeria and Aura took time to showcase the local artists who had decorated the walls, bridges and parks of the Barranco district. This has been one of the best tours I have ever taken. Thank you, Valeria and Aura!

I had a great time on... - I had a great time on this tour! Marcos was a wonderful guide who taught us a lot and was extremely attentive when it came to the dietary restrictions and preferences of the group. We made several stops in the city and got to try so many local dishes that I had been told to try before coming to Peru! I would recommend this for anyone wanting to try authentic Peruvian food, explore a beautiful part of the city, and meet new people!

First class experience - Aura was an absolute amazing guide. She made my dad and I feel very comfortable on the trip. My dad was 83 and moved a little slow. Aura was very patient and went above and beyond for us. The tour itself was first class! It gives a real feel for Peru culture. Food is such a big part of culture. Not to mention it was also delicious! Thank you again Aura! My dad and I very much appreciated your kindness.

Great taste of Peru in just a few hours - Such a perfect way to experience a part of Lima with limited time. We got to try and taste some of the most important foods and drinks of Peru. We loved our guide Valeria and we really enjoyed her teaching us about the different regions of Peru and where all the wonderful ingredients for the food we ate comes from. We especially enjoyed learning how to make Lomo Saltado and Ceviche. Of all the things we did in Peru this tour felt the least touristy. It was almost like a friend showing you her favorite spots. I can’t recommend this enough. Thank you, Valeria!
