Good experience - Very good service, good combination of train and cable car. Food is good. Rainforest is good to explore. We were able to capture the koala moving and eating instead of sleeping, LOL.

Amazing day! - We enjoyed our trip on the historical train to Kuranda. Check out the train history before you board the train in ‘Red’ Lynch’s Cottage, which is air conditioned! Most of the markets were closed when we were in Kuranda. We did ride the ducks and enjoyed the aboriginal dance plus took our turn at throwing a boomerang! Saw a cassowary walking around near the aboriginal dance theater!! Sky glide trip was worth the trip to see Barron Falls from a different perspective than the stop on the train.

Must see in Cairns! - If you’re going to visit Cairns, then the sky rail is a must see adventure for everybody. You travel high above the rainforest get spectacular views and spend a day sightseeing in an aboriginal village. Lots of wildlife spectacular river and waterfall and many friendly people from eastern Australia.

Activity filled day - The description sounds like it will be a long day but the whole day is packed with so many different activities it just flies by. I’ve never done and seen so many things in one day before! Even my 90 year old mobility challenged mother enjoyed the day. And everyone was so kind and gracious to her.

Best day ever. - This trip was fantastic from beginning to end. Pick up was spot in time… (the early time) 0715. We loved the train journey, the views spectacular. Beautiful old carriages, and the staff came around half way through asking those with window seats to swap with those of us without.
Loved looking around the shops in Kuranda, lots of fab clothes. My suitcase is heavier.
The Army duck thro the rain forest and through the water was fantastic the driver/guide, so knowledgeable and funny.
We then had a lovely BBQ. . The aboriginal dance was great. We didn’t do the boomerang as we wanted to spend time in the animal enclosure. Stoked and fed the kangaroos. Looded at the crocodiles and snakes. We held the koala briefly for a photo, all very ethical, following Australia’s guidelines. Then we returned on the sky rail. Not to be missed. Awesome views. All in all a thoroughly brilliant day.

Highly recommended! - Excellent transfers and commentaries all the way through! Rainforestation experience was the best, loved the army duck tour- super informative. Cultural experience was energetic and special. Great weather was definitely a bonus and the train/skyrail journeys gave spectacular views.

Experience 2025 - It was good experience except for the koala pictures. They were so rude. They didn't even tell you they are about to take the picture or even show you before they print. So they just click even tho u were not looking at the camera. So disappointed. I would have preferred to spend my money somewhere elese.

Great Experience - This trip had some amazing views and experiences. Everything was great! The only thing I wouldn’t recommend and was disappointed with was Kuranda. Many stores were closed so we just sat around until we were picked up again.

Check weather before booking ! - Definitely check weather before you book!
The main attractions for us was the train but couldn’t / canceled because of land slips.
Was raining so hard could not see anything at viewing platforms. Duck tour was good 👍.
Meal was mediocre 😕 didn’t have time to visit trading shops. Butterfly experience closed because they don’t fly when it rains 😕
Couldn’t see the views from sky rail because travelling through clouds and heavy rain.
😕 unfortunately costly waste of day.

Too rushed to enjoy - Train was not running. Everything was late and hurried. Did not get to see any stops on the skyway. Too many groups with different agendas. For the price not enough included. Too much time in Kurunda. Shops and cafes close at 3 and we were stuck till 4.
