Veliko Tarnovo is the first capital of Bulgaria - Arbanasi - From Veliko to Arbanasi we will walk for half an hour and visit the village of Arbanasi for 1 hour. After the visit, we will return to Bucharest and the return trip will take 3 hours.

We’ll traverse the Danube to reach the Bulgarian border and make our first stop at the Monastery of Saint Dimitar Basarbowski, a Bulgarian Orthodox cave monastery nestled near Ruse city in north-eastern Bulgaria. This site shares its name with a neighboring village, and we’ll be there for roughly 2 hours. Next, we set off for Veliko Tarnovo, a journey taking about an hour and a half. We’ve allocated 3 hours to explore and grab lunch there. Veliko Tarnovo is known for being the inaugural capital of Bulgaria. We also visit the village of Arbanasi. The final leg of our trip is the return to Romania, which will take approximately 3 hours. A thrilling opportunity to experience two countries in a single day!
