Basel City Tour with Tour Guide “France” - France was Extremely knowledgeable and well spoken tour guide. She met us at our downtown hotel and gave us an energetic tour of old town Basel. She highlighted the places to eat, drink and purchase fine chocolate. We also were able to squeeze in a Rhine River crossing on a boat that uses the river current to cross without motor. Fabulous visit to sandstone Church and City Hall. Everyone should ask for France to get an awesome city tour👍😎

“The gladdest moment in human life, me thinks, is a departure into unknown lands.” - Kripa was a true gem !
Her historical, anecdotal, cultural and architectural knowledge was beyond expectations ! Her communication style suited perfectly what we were looking for, and I bet she was a highly socially skilled person, since she was very attentive to what our needs were.
We were thankful for her very personalized walking pace, and her flexibility, as she was able to indicate where to stop for a restroom break.
Discovering Basel around its streets, famous figures, habits, city expansion and architectural pieces was a well-drafted activity. Having our hotel in the old town, we already had seen specific elements of the local culture, but Kripa made us understand in depth the many entangled elements of history.
The meeting point was clear, and everything was set in place for us to meet without any issues. If I could add a recommendation, it would be to let the customer specify another hotel for the meeting point, since there were only a few choices that did not correspond to ours. However, it did not bother us at all to walk 2 mins to our meeting point, and start the tour there :)
Anyhow, we started the day perfectly with our 9am tour ! Time flew with Kripa. Thank you so much !

Beautiful old town! - It was informative, interesting and just beautiful to see all the sights. The Christmas markets were just breathtaking to see with all of the lights and wonderful artesanal goods. The food was also exquisite and very much so from the region.

Great custom walking tour - Great walking tour with Michael. He did a really good job of keeping in touch with us before the tour, even making restaurant recommendations. The tour was exactly what we asked to see. We focused on great architecture, history, and beautiful views and ended at the Christmas Markets. We really enjoyed our day even with the rain.

Basel Tour - We were doing the walking tour of Basel in Spanish with Gabriel and we loved it, three moms with three teenagers who knew how to explain very well the history of the country, its structure and its current situation in Europe.
We stroll through the most picturesque streets of the city, ride a tram, visit the cathedral and cross the river with a typical boat.

Nonexistent - The Tour operator never showed up. We made contact with them and they said the hotel (whose lobby I was sitting in) had been closed for a year. I then called Viator. They tried to call the tour company and no one answered.
Not only was my day ruined, they refuse to refund my money!! Said I didn’t cancel in time. Cancel, I didn’t cancel, you didn’t show up!!
Not good business practices!! Now as I’m trying to fight it with Viator, no one responds to me!!
