Memorable educational and recreational experience. - We viewed historic sights and enjoyed audio commentary. The tour was very enjoyable and well worth the nominal cost.

Full and informative tour - This city tour has nothing to do with the usual "hop on hop off". It is rather a guided tour of the city by bus. Contrary to the usual "hop on hop off", the seats are comfortable, the view really panoramic even in case of adverse weather (plexiglass roof) and the information about the city is informative and goes much further than traditional clichés for tourists. The tablet audio system also allows images to be combined with text. The 2-hour tour includes 2 stops at places outside the city center to enjoy interesting viewpoints as well as tasting a local specialty (pastry). Attention, their communication insists on the possibility of getting off and on at each stop throughout the day (as in any "hop on hop off") but concretely, this is not really possible since there are only 2 tours per day. (And again, not every day...). Award is 24 francs but there is a 50% discount with the "basel card" (offered in all hotels in the city).

Highly Recommended - Very informative bus tour with stops for photographs at a couple points. The vehicle was airy as the windows open right back.

Good overview of sites in Basel at a reasonable price-tour is in English and other languages.. - Great way to see Basel. BUT, be aware, the instructions say to meet at Tinguely Fountain. if you wait at the fountain, you may be left behind. The bus actually stops across the street from the fountain, Our bus was not clearly marked and no one came over to the fountain to see if folks were waiting there. So about 15 minutes before meet up time, go over to the parked bus (s) and find your tour.

Done - Your instructions say meet at the Tinguely Fountain. No one was there to tell us the meeting place was across the street. Fortunately the City Walk leader told us the meeting place was NOT at the fountain but across the street at a bus.

Not Worth the Money - It showed the option when booking the tour as a hop on, hop off, but there really isn’t enough time to do that, due to the lack of available buses to catch again. Also, turns out if you book through the site, you get a discount if you have a Basel card. That was not an option for us, which doesn’t seem quite fair. The narration often didn’t match what we were looking at. Often we were past whatever it was we were supposed to be seeing. Also, many things couldn’t be seen from the bus, without needing to jump to the other side, or craning our necks to look up. If I could get my money back, that would be great, but I doubt that would ever happen. No one was there, to help people use the tablet, which was hard for some of the elderly, and those that didn’t speak the language. We were supposed to get a lackerly …we did not. However, the driver did an excellent job maneuvering the bus around the city.

Boring - We drove past many interesting places but stopped to look at the river and a bunch of warehouses. It was boring.

Very Hot inside the bus - Invest a little into putting air conditioning in your bus. It’s summer and your bus has glass roof, it’s like an oven in there even with the windows down. Otherwise, the tour guide (driver) was excellent.
