Nice driver and beautiful beach! - Our driver was great. He showed us Timothy Hill before taking us to South Friar's Beach. My tip- walk the 5 minutes to Shipwreck Beach Bar and Grill! They have free chairs, a way more casual vibe and a great reef right out front to snorkel on! (They rent gear there too) The beach club area is good for jetskiing but I am SO glad we saw the black sand further down! The beach club has more regular sand. Nice sand and beach all around. More open for swimming at the beach club region (less reef) but I recommend walking to see the black and shimmering sand to at least go and see or if you have time, snorkel the reef right off the beach!

Great experience - Nobody else signed up for tour, so we had private tour in nice van w/A/C and great driver/tour guide Audie. He made stops for photo ops, and shopping at roadside place. Gave us options of 2 beaches, Shipwreck, very "rustic" w/small muddy beach and old chairs....but we chose Carambola Beach Club which was much nicer. Granite counters in modern bathrooms (gotta rent chair for day to get access to bathrooms), and fantastic large granite bar in clubhouse/restaurant w/super friendly barstaff. Beach chairs were $10 each and $10 for umbrella. Well worth it. Beautiful beach and Caribbean blue water. He sent a friend to pick us up instead of coming to get us, at the appointed time...so we weren't sure it was the real deal or not.. But turned out it was ok, and his friend got us back safe and sound to the cruise ship. First Viator experience, and it worked out just fine.

Nice beach - Richie, our driver, was enjoyable. He showed us some of the highlights of the area before taking us to the beach (Carambola Beach Club at Friar's Bay, nice place). I'm giving this 3 stars, however, for the following reasons. We had about 2 hours on the beach. It cost $30 to rent 2 chairs and an umbrella. We would have loved to have stayed longer. We were the only ones on the tour. When we were picked up at the scheduled time, Richie told us that we could have scheduled at later pick up (didn't know, as the tour said 3 hours). We also could have asked the restaurant to call company to ask for a later pick up. If we were told this when we were dropped off, it would have made all the difference. If you take this tour, ask those questions.

A cruise line had rented to entire beach/resort area which forced poor Richie to wing it. He did find us an adjacent venue. While the actual beach/view was beautiful the amenities were definitely not.</p>
