Istana Negara - Istana Negara, or the National Palace, is the official residence of the King of Malaysia. This majestic building, located at Jalan Duta, officially became the National Palace in November 2011, replacing the old palace at Jalan Istana. It features 22 domes, with the largest dome reaching up to 40 meters in height. Note: Visits are limited to the exterior.

Perdana Botanical Garden - Formerly known as Perdana Lake Gardens, Lake Gardens, and Public Gardens, Perdana Botanical Gardens is Kuala Lumpur’s first large-scale recreational park. Spanning 91.6 hectares, it is located in the heart of the city and was established in 1888.

National Monument - The National Monument was built to honor those who sacrificed their lives for peace and freedom, particularly during the nation’s struggle against communism. The grounds feature one of the world’s largest free-standing bronze sculptures, created in 1966 by Felix de Weldon, who also sculpted the famous Iwo Jima Monument in Washington, DC.

Malaysian Houses of Parliament - The Malaysian Houses of Parliament is a building complex where the Malaysian Parliament convenes. It is located at the Lake Gardens in Kuala Lumpur, near the National Monument.

Merdeka Square - Merdeka Square is situated directly opposite the Sultan Abdul Samad Building and next to the Royal Selangor Club. This historic site is where the Union Flag was lowered, and the Malayan flag was raised for the first time at midnight on August 31, 1957. Since then, Merdeka Square has been the venue for the annual Merdeka Parade.

National Textile Museum - The National Textile Museum houses a unique collection of clothing, accessories, and textiles. It features four main galleries: Pohon Budi Gallery, Pelangi Gallery, Teluk Berantai Gallery, and Ratna Sari Gallery.

Music Museum - The Music Museum Kuala Lumpur opened on August 1, 2015, in a colonial-era building on Jalan Raja, facing Dataran Merdeka in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. This elegant building was constructed in 1919 as the KL branch of Chartered Bank.

National Mosque (Masjid Negara) - Masjid Negara is one of the most distinguished landmarks in the city. It features a unique star-shaped dome and a 73-meter high minaret. The National Mosque is located on the fringes of the KL Lake Gardens. Visitors are advised to dress appropriately, and women are required to wear headscarves.

Malayan Railway Administration Building - One of Malaysia’s most beautiful old buildings, the Railway Station and Administration Building is a stunning example of Moorish architecture.

The River of Life - The River of Life (ROL) is a seven-year project led by the Malaysian government to transform the Klang River into a vibrant and livable waterfront with high economic value. Covering eight rivers with a total length of 110 km, the project is divided into three major components.

Jamek Mosque - Officially known as Sultan Abdul Samad Jamek Mosque, Jamek Mosque is one of the oldest mosques in Kuala Lumpur. Located at the confluence of the Klang and Gombak rivers, it can be accessed via Jalan Tun Perak. Designed by Arthur Benison Hubback and built in 1909, Masjid Jamek served as Kuala Lumpur’s main mosque. The mosque features Moorish architecture.

Beryl’s Chocolate Kingdom - Beryl’s Chocolate Kingdom is one of two outlets by Beryl’s, a renowned chocolate brand. The main attraction here is chocolate. Beryl’s produces a wide variety of chocolates made from the finest Ghana cocoa beans. Visitors can sample many types of chocolates for free and choose from over 100 varieties to purchase as gifts or for personal enjoyment. Beryl’s creativity has resulted in unique chocolate variants available only in Malaysia, such as chili chocolate, durian chocolate, green tea chocolate, and fruit-infused chocolates.

Seri Wawasan Bridge, Putrajaya - The first stop is one of seven bridges in Putrajaya, and it is the most elegant. The 240-meter cable bridge features a futuristic design resembling a sailing ship. The Seri Wawasan Bridge is visible from many vantage points in the city.

Putrajaya Lake - Putrajaya Lake is a man-made lake located at the center of Putrajaya, Malaysia. Covering 650 hectares, it is designed to act as a natural cooling system for the city and is also used for recreation, fishing, water sports, and water transport.

Perdana Putra - This imposing building stands atop the main hill in Putrajaya, catching the eye with its palatial-style green dome and stone walls. Featuring a blend of Islamic and modern architecture, the office complex is where ministers and high officials work. It is not open to visitors, but its grandeur can still be admired from the outside.

Putra Mosque - The Putra Mosque is known for its iconic pink hue, thanks to its rose-tinted granite. Built by the lake in 1997, the mosque can accommodate up to 15,000 worshipers. Visitors often stop by to take photographs of this sophisticated landmark, which draws inspiration from Malay and Middle Eastern influences.

Seri Perdana - Seri Perdana is the official residence of the Prime Minister of Malaysia, located in Putrajaya.

Masjid Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin (Masjid Besi) - The Iron Mosque, or Tunku Mizan Zainal Abidin Mosque, is another architectural marvel worth visiting. Constructed primarily from steel, its “wire mesh” architecture is inspired by Chinese and German designs. Unlike other mosques in Malaysia, it does not have a minaret for calling prayers. From a distance, it appears to be made of metal or glass.

Millennium Monument - Designed in 2005 to usher in the new millennium, this is the first monument built in Putrajaya. The walkway spiraling around the monument illustrates Malaysia’s history, with panels describing significant events in the country. A time capsule at the base of the monument will be opened in 2020. As you ascend the ramps of the Millennium Monument, you can enjoy sweeping views of the waterfront.
