Located about 11 kilometers north of Kuala Lumpur, this 100-year-old sanctuary showcases images and statues erected within the main caves and around it.

Combined with interior limestone formations said to be around 400 million years old, the sanctuary is considered a significant religious landmark by Hindus.

Its main attraction is the large statue of the Hindu God at the entrance, and the 272 steps leading up to a breathtaking view of the city skyline.

• Thean Hou Temple - Thean Hou Temple is one of the oldest and largest temples in Southeast Asia. Located southwest of the city, it is a popular tourist spot. Dedicated to Tian Hou, a goddess believed to protect fishermen, the temple is also a sacred place where many come to worship Guan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy. Built by Kuala Lumpur’s Hainanese community in 1894, it is set on a hill and offers stunning views of the city.
