Highlights
  • Batu Caves - After a 30-minute scenic drive, arrive at the Batu Caves to discover the home of Hindu shrines and various religious deities. Listen as your guide explains the Hindu roots of the nation and climb the 272 steps to the golden statue of Lord Murugan.
  • Thean Hou Temple - Thean Hou Temple, a 6-tiered pagoda temple atop Robson Heights. Completed in 1987 and officially opened in 1989, it was built by the Hainanese community of Kuala Lumpur and is dedicated to the goddess Tian Hou (The Heavenly Mother).
  • National Mosque (Masjid Negara) - see the stunning National Mosque of Malaysia (Masjid Negara), set in 13 acres of beautiful gardens. Admire the bold approach taken by its architects who designed it in the late 1950s as a symbol of the aspirations of the newly independent nation
  • Petaling Street Market - Continue to China Town to enter the site of dozens of restaurants and food stalls tended by Chinese, Indian, Malay and Bangladeshi traders. Watch as they serve up local favorites, such as curry noodles, Hokkien mee (a Fujian noodle dish), ikan bakar (barbecued fish) and asam laksa (a sour, fish and tamarind-based soup).
  • Little India Brickfields - Vibrant Brickfields is home to Little India, a colorful maze of textile shops and jewelry stores, plus low-key restaurants serving dosa pancakes and banana-leaf curries. Over by KL Sentral station there’s a mix of laid-back trattorias, upscale bistros and classy cocktail bars. Sri Kandaswamy Kovil is a Hindu temple with golden statues, while Buddhist Maha Vihara temple features a bodhi tree and domed pagoda

Great cultural and Batu cave tour - I’ve been to Malaysia several times but this is the first time i took a solo tour. My driver and guide, Karthi, was superb. He sent notifications, arrived early for the tour and was very knowledgeable about Malaysian culture and history. I had fun and learned a lot. Karthi also drives safely, is very kind and generous. He even gave me a bottle of water after climbing Batu Caves. Very good job!

Great way to explore KL in a short time - It was the most amazing day and the best way to spend our short time in KL…Batu Caves in the morning before too many tourists are there, and then all the important cultural places in the city, like the Thean Hou Temple, the National Mosque and Chinatown. Our driver Sathesh was a great guide, explaining everything and answering our questions, as well as giving tips and helping with anything we needed. Overall a great activity, would 100% recommend him and this tour if you have a short transit in KL.
