Cairo to Bahariya

Bahariya Oasis Guide - A representative will collect you from your hotel in Cairo at 6:00 AM, then transport you from Cairo or Giza in a modern, air-conditioned vehicle to Bahariya, a 365 km journey that takes approximately 4 hours.

Western Desert - Upon arrival in Bahariya, visit the Golden Mummies Museum from the Graeco-Roman period. Continue to the Tombs of Nobles, Ain Mefettella, and Alexander Temples. Then, take a trip to the ruins on a hill, known as “the English House,” at sunset and enjoy the panoramic view of the Oasis. Overnight stay in Bahariya.

Bahariya–Gara Cave (also known as Djara Cave)

Bahariya Oasis Salt Lake - After breakfast, embark on a tour to the Gara Cave, located 170 km off-road, with lunch en route at the foot of sand dunes or at a chosen spot. Dinner and overnight camping.

Gara Cave – Aqabat

Bahariya Oasis - After breakfast, explore the Gara Cave (also known as Djara Cave), a natural hollow formed by rain in the Eocene limestone (55 million years ago). Water dissolved the limestone, creating stunning stalactites and stalagmites. Prehistoric people likely inhabited the cave during the late Neolithic period, as evidenced by artifacts and rock art found there. Then, transfer to Aqabat, approximately 150 km away. Overnight camping in the desert.

Ain Khudra

White Desert - After breakfast, visit the Magic Spring and Ain Khadra, where lunch will be served. Continue to the Santa tree (Magic tree) and then enjoy the White Desert, renowned as one of the most beautiful places in the world. The bright white limestone covers the surface, forming incredible rock formations in the sand, giving the area its name. Overnight camping.

Bahariya-Cairo

White Desert National Park - After breakfast, transfer to visit Crystal Mountain and the Black Mountains. Upon arrival in Bahariya, you will have the opportunity to shower before returning to Cairo, a journey of about 4 hours.
