Cairo to Bahraya Oasis
Bawiti - Our guide will pick you up from your hotel and take you to El-Wahat el-Bahariya or el-Bahariya, a journey that will take approximately 4 hours. This area is a depression and a naturally rich oasis in Egypt’s Western Desert, located about 370 km from Cairo. The roughly oval-shaped valley stretches from northeast to southwest, measuring 94 km in length and up to 42 km in width, covering an area of around 2000 km².
Bahariya Oasis - After lunch, hop into a 4×4 jeep with your Bedouin driver and guide to explore the village of Bawiti. Visit the hot springs at Bir Al Matar and Bir El Ghaba, and climb ‘English Mountain’ to see the remains of a British World War I outpost. Venture into the Black Desert, known for its black-topped volcanic hills, and see the Crystal Mountain. Drive through the massive, rounded rocks of the Agabat Valley and head into the White Desert National Park, famous for its stunning, brilliant-white rock formations sculpted by the wind into spires, mushrooms, animals, and other unusual shapes. Marvel at these ghostly figures before returning to El Haize for your overnight camp. Enjoy a desert sunset and a barbecue dinner under the stars, then settle into your sleeping bag on mattresses in your tent. The next day, return to Cairo, where your trip concludes with a drop-off at the original starting point around 5 pm.
