BEST TRIP EVER - ONE OF THE BEST EXPERIENCES OF MY LIFE First of all, I have to thank Mr. Waleed and Mr. Huseyin because throughout the trip they were ready and available to help us. I also have to thank Mr. Aeadiy who was our guide in the White Desert and he was super funny and kind. His food is incredible. When we went to Siwa we also loved it and we were able to relax in the Cleopatra baths and the hot spring. Mr. Mohamed took incredible photos of us in the salt lakes. And I want to reiterate my gratitude to Mr. Waleed who always did our bidding and was always helpful and incredible. He always looked after our comfort and happiness. I also reinforce my gratitude to Mr. Huseyin who has enormous maturity and a beautiful life story, he taught me about culture and religion and helped me have a new perspective on Egypt and life. He was always happy and very fun. The best guide ever!!!! I recommend this trip to anyone who really wants to experience something once in a lifetime! Best 4 days in Egypt to Black and White Desert and Siwa Oasis from Cairo - Well organized company and friendly staff, everything they take care of it, small detail, we booked with them the Airport transfer, combo tour to Pyramids and Desert Safari tour in one day it was the best to save our time since we have limited time in Cairo, then we traveled to the black and white desert and Siwa Oasis tour from Cairo in 4 days This is the best tour in the western desert we have done, we normally travel a lot but the staff and the management specially the CEO Mr Gamal who always keep in touch to make sure that we are enjoying We really added unforgettable memories with Touritos

Great desert experiences - This trip was special. The white desert is such a unique landscape and sleeping under the stars in the middle of the desert was magical. Siwa feels very distinct from the rest of Egypt with its on culture and historical significance. Trip to the Sand dunes was so much fun with all the crazy driving. My guide Magdy took very good care of me and did go the Extra mile to ensure I had a great time. Both ecolodge and desert camp are very nice and comfortable places to stay at. Because of how far away Siwa is from everything two days were mostly driving as indicated in the itinary, one should be aware of this.

The best ever - We had an amazing experience during our stay in Egypt, nothing can describe how beautiful is the places we went, it is a must to do in Egypt specially with Touritos Team, they are professional from A to Z, care about the small details, and following up all the customers to make sure that they are enjoying, to be honest they exceeded our expectations a lot and they deserve to be Number 1 in the market at the western desert of Egypt, keeeeeeeep going guys you are the best

Lovely tour of Siwa Oasis - I really enjoyed this tour of Siwa Oasis. Gamal was a great guide, and I enjoyed having knowledgeable, local guides for the activities too. The itinerary included a nice mix of adventure activities and sightseeing. I would recommend this tour.

A great experience - The desert camping was my favourite event of the trip, even if it was bloody cold. The food, fire and sleeping in the white desert was truly memorable. The journey started with a slightly late pick up, but very early! A long drive to Siwa oasis and hot spring. Lunch option was chicken or meat and rice which was delicious. The stay on the first night was the ecolodge which was really cold with little hot water (boiler didn’t seem to hold enough hot water for two) but there was a hot spring and pool if you wanted to venture cold swimming after the hot spring. Breakfast that morning was amazing and filling- local bread, egg and beans. The following day at the salt ponds was lovely but slightly underwhelming as they were holes dug up by a JCB bit we were the only ones, which was great for photos. You would need use your own water bottles to wash up after floating in the salt pool as the tour operator didn’t give us any which was disappointing. One thing to note, these are made up holes and there are no facilities (as if you were on a deserted beach but the next stop as a hot spring hole). We explored Siwa town (museum, Cleopatra bath, tombs, temple ruins and Shali fortress) later which was nice and finished with sunset and a dates smoothie at Fatnas island. Next up was a desert safari and sandboarding experience with traditional tea, peanuts over a lovely sunset view. The hotel was very basic mainly because it was so newly built that it isn’t finished yet, there was cement and some guys working. The shower had dismal hot water. Dinner was tasty though, meat Hawawshi (shawarma wrap in a pita bread). They’ve got a small market where you can shop for souvenirs and they have these beautiful mini gel perfumes- long lasting and cheap. Next day involved a very long axx journey to the White desert. Picked up at 2am and drove for many hours to finally arrive around 4pm to Bawiti. Sadly we had to buy our own breakfast even if they said it was included! We got delicious lunch when we got to the destination. The crystal mountain and black desert were just quick 10min stops to admire the landscape and take photos. The guide didn’t speak a lot of English so we were left to our own selves to figure out any history of the crystal mountain or white desert. The white desert itself was magnificent with its white chalk rock formations from millions of years ago- google later told us that it used to be a sea, shaped by an ocean and sea creatures and further through erosion by wind and sand. The have protected certain formations that look like a mushroom, a hen and many mini mushroom looking rocks- the park is the 2nd largest depression in Egypt. A desert fox was seen but they’re safe. A thing to note, there are no camp facilities and again everything is in the open as everyone ‘illegally’ camps in the desert and must pack and leave at first light. However the guide was amazing with setting up everything and cooking us dinner- barbecue chicken, soup, rice, salad, fruits and tea. The fire kept us warm until it was time to sleep in the tent. No wind, but really cold and we had a heavy blanket. The best part was also the clear skies studded with stars. A good camera could capture a small part of the Milky Way. The following day took us back to Cairo airport to return home. Overall a nice trip, despite the broken vehicle on day one and ok guides- we had a great experience. My suggestion would be to have guides who could speak more English or atleast give us something to read if they don’t speak English as we would prefer to support local people. And advocate for the road to open between Siwa and Bawiti as things are safe and normal by the Libyan border, which would save a full day of travel and more time and money to spend in the locations!

Great experiences/sites, let down by a lack of organisation and professionalism - Overview This tour offers access to some of Egypt’s most remarkable natural destinations, including the White Desert, Black Desert, and Siwa Oasis. While the itinerary promises a unique combination of sites and the convenience of small group travel, my experience was undermined by operational issues, lack of professionalism, and significant discrepancies between the advertised and actual itinerary. Highlights The destinations themselves-particularly the White Desert and the salt lakes of Siwa-are extraordinary and well worth visiting. The tour maintains small group sizes, allowing for a more personal experience compared to larger tours. Few tours combine the White Desert, Black Desert, and Siwa Oasis in a single itinerary, making this a rare offering. Areas of Concern 1. Guide Quality and Professionalism The main guide functioned primarily as a driver, with limited English proficiency and minimal ability to provide background on the sites visited. For example, questions about the geology of the Black Desert or the crystals at Crystal Mountain were met with vague or incomplete answers. There was a notable lack of professionalism in presentation and conduct, including the guide arriving each morning in casual, unkempt attire and engaging in inappropriate behavior at scenic stops. In contrast, the Siwa-based guide was knowledgeable and provided detailed explanations, highlighting the inconsistency in guide quality. 2. Operational Disorganization The guide was frequently on the phone, loudly coordinating logistics with other drivers and guides, which detracted from the travel experience and created a tense atmosphere during long drives. 3. Itinerary Inaccuracies and Missed Services The actual itinerary diverged significantly from what was advertised. Several lunches and stops were omitted, and two of the four days consisted almost entirely of driving. The tour description suggested camping in the White Desert, but current regulations prohibit this. Instead, accommodation was provided at a Bedouin property outside the desert, with no bathroom facilities. Stock photos in the promotional materials did not accurately represent the actual sites or accommodations (e.g., the salt lake visited was a large man-made pool, not the smaller natural pools depicted). 4. Hotel Change Without Notice On the third night, there was an unannounced hotel change late in the evening, described as an upgrade. This move was disruptive, required repacking late at night, and resulted in a downgrade in comfort and amenities (e.g., loss of Wi-Fi, smaller bed, warmer room). The lack of prior consultation suggested the change was motivated by company logistics rather than guest experience. 5. Review Authenticity Some reviews on Tripadvisor appear identical to those on Google Maps for the same tour company, but under different names and with stock photos, raising questions about the authenticity of some testimonials. Detailed Day-by-Day Summary Day 1: Pickup was delayed due to the guide going to the wrong hotel, despite prior notification of the change. The guide immediately disclosed limited English skills. The day included brief stops at Bawati (lunch only), Crystal Mountain, the Black Desert, Agabat Valley (where my memory is of the guide urinating while passing wind within earshot), and the White Desert. The guide provided minimal information at each site. The expected desert camping experience was replaced by a meal picked up from a roadside restaurant and camping at a Bedouin property with no facilities. Ain Khadra should be removed from the itinerary - it is a glorified toilet amongst trees with litter and used toilet paper everywhere. Day 2: A closer look at the Black Desert was arranged, but the guide was unable to answer basic questions about the geology. Breakfast at an eco-lodge was pleasant, though marred by the guide’s inappropriate behavior by stripping a Mulberry bush of its fruit and eating them while we watched for 5 minutes after already trying the fruit ourselves. The drive to Siwa was extremely long due to route closures, with no proper lunch stop despite the itinerary. The guide’s constant phone calls and loud music made the journey uncomfortable. The Siwa hotel was comfortable, and dinner was provided late at night. I do need to emphasis that after the camping we also hadn't slept well or had the opportunity to properly wash - combining this with a long drive, no lunch and a dinner at midnight meant that moods were frayed to say the least. Day 3: All Siwa activities were condensed into a single day, contrary to the itinerary. The Siwa-based guide was excellent, providing detailed information and facilitating a memorable experience. However, a late-night, unannounced hotel change negatively impacted the day’s end. Day 4: The final day was primarily a return drive to Cairo, with only a brief stop at Marsa Matruh. No lunch was provided, and the drive was again disrupted by the guide’s phone calls. Conclusion While the destinations included in this tour are genuinely impressive and the small group format is a plus, the experience was compromised by operational disorganization, lack of professionalism, and discrepancies between the advertised and delivered itinerary. Improvements are needed in guide training, centralization of logistics, accuracy of promotional materials, and transparency in service delivery. Prospective travelers should be aware of these issues when considering this tour.

Great trip if you get the right guides/driver - The trip in Siwa with Huseyin was great! He is a great guide with a lot of knowledge and a super nice person, and we had a great time in Siwa. The activities we did there were all fantastic too! We had a very difficult time though trying communicate with the driver as he spoke no English. It was not easy as we spent 2 full days with him in the car, and we couldn’t even use phone to translate due to lack of internet in the desert. The guide in the White Desert was very nice and kind and we really enjoyed our time there, but he didn’t speak much English either. The places we visited were all amazing, but the whole experience would have been much better if we could communicate a bit more and know what was going on (we didn’t go to all the places that were in the itinerary despite them telling us we will go ‘later’, e.g. Black Desert or Marsa Matruh, and we just couldn’t understand why haha). The tour is in English according to the tour overview on Tripadvisor, and there were quite a few things that did not match the description of the tour (on top of the missing destinations mentioned above, we didn’t get lunch on day 2 at all, we had to beg for lunch on day 4 but we eventually gave up as the driver couldn’t get us to the planned lunch destination - he could not use google maps either to find alternative spots, he always stopped and asked random people for directions and we ended up at a roadside slaughterhouse, instead of a restaurant in the city). Would be great if you get the right guides!! :)

Average - It was ok but not particularly well organised. Most of the guides didn't speak English very well and often didn't understand what we were saying, nor did we understand them. Our driver was very nice and professional but also didn't speak any English. Not his fault but the operator shouldn't pair us with him since we won't be able to communicate at all despite being in the same car for many hours. Wouldn't recommend overall. Although the places are interesting or beautiful it's not worth waking up at 2am and drive for hours just to get here and there.
