After reading recent... - After reading recent reviews of another rum distillery in Puerto Rico, I did a bit of googling and found out about Ron del Barrillito. As those reviews said, this tasting tour is nice and intimate; we were a group of 10. Our tour guide was very informative, fun, and welcomed questions. The history of the distillery is quite interesting, and it was neat to see the different parts of the distillery and taste their unique rums. The 4 and 5 star are excellent, but the 3 star is very nice as well. Their rums have a bit of a different flavor, being done in a style like Cognac, but are great sipping rums. If you aren't a fan of big crowds and want a fun, unique rum distillery tour with great rums to taste, this one is worth it.

10/10 rum tasting & experience! - Incredible tour experience! Our tour guide Marjorie was so kind and funny and she was very knowledgeable about the distillery and its history. We learned a lot about the history of the distillery and got to see the entire operation. The welcome cocktail was so delicious that we came back to the bar for more cocktails after the tour!! Our bar tender was also so kind and helpful. The rum tasting at the end was awesome, 10/10 recommend.

Timmy was the BEST - Our tour guide Timmy was Fantastic, very friendly and informative, genuinely great guy, made the experience a lasting memory, i would recommend this tour to everyone and ask for Timmy when you get there he’s GREAT

Fantastic tour, very accommodating - Fantastic tour of the small batch rum distillery. We would absolutely recommend this one and will definitely do it again if in the area. The tour was an hour and the tasting was great! Lots of details that should be a surprise, and they left us very happy!

Mixology and Authentic Rum Tour - Capstone of Puerto Rico - This is the best rum-tasting and mixology tour in Puerto Rico. The location is outside San Juan, but it is worth the trip. The staff and tour guides are professional and knowledgeable and treat each guest respectfully. Our guide was Valeria, and she took the time to explain the history of the Ron del Barrilito hacienda, how the rum is made and stored. The mixology course was informative and fun. We made three delicious drinks: an old fashion. The En Canto and the traditional Pina Colada.
Do not leave Puerto Rico until you take this tour and do the mixology course. It is terrific.

Lots of fun - This is a pretty good value as you get a welcome drink, and then during the tour you get a tasting of their 4 rums. I would recommend.

A Highlight of Our Week in Puerto Rico - We had a great time on the tour. Our guide Pedro was very informative and nice. The facilities are impressive and the rum tastes outstanding. The bartenders who made the rum-based cocktail samples there were excellent and we loved their drinks. Our visit to the distillery was definitely a highlight of our week in Puerto Rico.

Skip if you want to learn how rum is made - Paid for the 2 hour tour and rum tasting for 90 dollars per person. The tour consisted of looking at a tree, seeing the tanks outdoors which anyone can see, a bottling room with nothing happening and a look at the barrel room. Zero experience in the actual process of making rum. Saw nothing on that which is why we went. The tasting consisted of a very light and inconsistent pour per person. The rum was good, the guide was very upbeat but for the 90 dollars it was absolutely not worth it. If you want to learn how rum is made skip this tour.
