This group tour is exclusively in English. Our city tour enables the visitor to discover the best of Bayeux and Normandy history. Admire and identify the architectural features of its medieval buildings and its superb cathedral. Let your guide regal you with stories of ancient trades and old customs. Learn about major events and little anecdotes over many centuries. This tour is perfect to complement your visit to the D-Day beaches, the Bayeux Tapestry, the Museum of Arts and History, the War Memorial Museum and the Bayeux cathedral. We aim to provide an enjoyable and informative tour. Our guides are fluent, knowledgeable and fun! Suitable for >8 years old. All participants should have a good level of English.
- The many standing stops might become tiring for back sufferers or pregnant ladies: we recommend you bring a foldable stool. We will also use public benches wherever possible.
- Be mindful that there are no “nature call” stops during this 2 hour tour, therefore it is recommended to plan ahead.

Our guide was lively and... - Our guide was lively and enthusiastic and had a encyclopedic knowledge of Bayeux. We saw a large portion of the center city and would not have managed this on our own.

A very personal tour of Bayeux - My tour was with Christele, one of the founders of this tour company. I was the only person who signed up for the tour, so instead of two hours hitting every sight that she usually shows on school tours, we did a one-hour tour concentrating on the historic city center. I think this was actually better, because it focused on the history of Bayeux, which is what I was interested in, and didn't spend time on D-Day, which I was going to get from other tours anyway.
Also, since it was just the two of us, we could talk as we were walking, rather than walk in silence until we got to a stop where she would then give her spiel, which is what you have to do with a larger group. Thus, the shorter time period was spent a lot better, and I could ask questions freely.
Christele is an official guide and very knowledgeable, and gave me a good background on the history of Bayeux and how it fits into French history as well. I also loved her style, such as saying, "My girl Poppa," and at the end of the tour, doing a recap of the history in chronological order. This tour really felt more like a conversation about this wonderful town, which I loved, but I think the more traditional format of this tour would shine as well.

Super informative and entertaining tour by Christèle - Christèle provided us with a most fascinating and informative tour. In just over 2hrs we covered a range of locations, many of which we wouldn't have found on our own, each with an entertaining mix of facts and anecdotes. Excellent English with plenty of colloquial humour.

Great walking tour - I thought it would be a good idea to do a walking tour of Bayeaux on the morning after we arrived. The other half wasn't convinced but it was brilliant 👏
The guide was very knowledgeable and very funny. This helped us to take a lot of information in without being overwhelmed. Wandering around Bayeaux later we noticed so much more.

Excellent tour - Really great tour of Bayeux. Our guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable about the history of Bayeux. The tour was interesting, fun and good value for money. She covered the history of Bayeux from medieval times up to the present day. The tour takes 2 hours and is a stroll around Bayeux at a normal walking pace. I would definitely recommend this tour.
