Wonderful WWII learning and remembering experiences - Sophie with HQ was wonderful. The consensus was that the following were our favorites: Omaha, Utah, Pont du Hoc, St Mere Eglise (especially the museum) and the American Cemetery.

Amazing Tour - Don't miss it! - This tour was amazing. We went to Utah and Omaha beaches, the cemetery - everywhere the tour said it would take us. We had ample time to explore on our own in each place we visited. Chloe was our tour guide. She was not only very knowledgeable, but an excellent driver. When she explained what took place on the beaches, your imagination took over. The tour is capped at 8 people which was great! I highly recommend taking this tour with HQ Company.

Wonderful Tour - The tour of DDay is a worthwhile and meaningful way to appreciate and understand the significance of that moment in history. We had ample time to visit each site and Sofie, our tour guide, brought life to what actually happened in Normandy. She highlights the sacrifices, successes and failures of DDay. And her illustrative notebook of maps and other relevant documents provided a visual perspective of what occurred. The Normandy cemetery is a must see for all - it’s a beautiful, solemn and respectful commemoration of the thousands of young men that gave their lives so others might live. I am a retired Navy CAPT in the Nurse Corps of 28 years so I was pleasantly surprised to visit the medieval church of L'église Saint-Côme-et-Saint-Damien and learn about two medics of the 101st Airborne, Bob Wright and Kenneth Moore that cared for the allied forces, German soldiers and civilians. It was quite moving. Side note to Sofie - thank you for dropping us off at the Tapestry Museum, we were the last ones allowed in at 1745! And thank you for recommending the German Bunker at the Caen Museum - it was awesome. Afterwards we stopped at Pegasus Bridge, La chapelle Notre-Dame-de-Grâce and St Catherine’s Church. Honfleur is a gorgeous village - we discovered a fabulous restaurant, Le Lingot (if you are a foodie you must go). The menu consists of 3 or 5 servings and changes every day. Best meal we had in Normandy. Michelin quality. The waiter and chef are accommodating and attentive. Quaint place.

Outstanding tour experience - Sophie, our guide, was amazing. She provided so much added historical perspective to what we already knew. Even driving from one site to another, she pointed out hedgerows and other spots that had stories of their own, relating to the invasion of Normandy. It was just amazing and something we'll never forget.

Simply the best way to visit the landing beaches - We had already visited the landing beaches several years ago without Guide and we had kept a memory of it of course moved but a little flat. We arrive at places and we do not necessarily know how to fully contemplate them. Since then my son has Committed to paras and the desire to make a new visit has been felt, but I wanted it more structured and directed. I chose HQ simply because of their website which seemed very professional. I was not disappointed. Mickaël accompanied us for two days giving exceptional relief to the place, and the events. Mickaël has truly encyclopedic knowledge that would make a Jonathan Littel blush who participate in a total and realistic immersion in the hell of the Battle of Normandy. To be done absolutely once in a lifetime if we really want to understand this period and the meaning of the sacrifice of this extraordinary generation. Thanks to Mickaël and the whole HQ team.
