D-Day experience! - Matt, was absolutely terrific! He was so knowledgeable about the history of D-Day and the perils that not only the U.S., Canadians and British went through but also the view of the Germans. I thoroughly recommend Matt!

Our Special day at Normandy - John, our guide made this a very memorable experience!!! While traveling in a comfortable van with total of 8 we toured. He articulated so well and so clearly the times of the Normandy invasions. Going to Omaha beach and the American Memorial Cemetary really was emotional. Our stop for lunch mid day a a Restraunt nearby the beach was wonderful! We all were enjoying ourselves! My husband , son and I really learned a lot. We would give John the highest of recommendation!

An excellent experience with an excellent guide. - The choice of places to spend time, the expertise and dry humor of John, our guide, and the weather were all fabulous.

Not to miss, especially if the weather is good. - Matt was a great guide, the weather perfect. There was another couple on the trip. We kept to the schedule and enjoyed the lowering of the flag and taps during the last stop at the beautiful American cemetery in Normandy. Lovely and moving. Highly recommend.

Best Day Of My Life - Tour Guide : Matt Turner I am 28 years old and love WW2 history. I traveled alone to Normandy and booked a group tour through Viator. I got EXTREMELY lucky and landed an excellent tour guide named Matt Turner. Matt was professional, knowledgeable, fun, and experienced. Words can't describe how incredible and important this experience was for me. It was the best day of my life I think. Moving experience, and I would recommend Matt as a tour guide every time...

Good tour stops, poor tour leader - We appreciated being able to see so much in one day. Our disappointment with the experience was more related to our tour guide. Kyllian was difficult to understand and awkward and annoying. He lacked the social graces to interact with the tour group members and seemed to get lost verbally or intellectually during his presentations. He did not have eye contact with us and while his enthusiasm for the subject was evident, he seemed to get “lost” in what appeared to be a memorized script. We all ate lunch together and he tried to move us away from the table and end lunch when three of our group members were still obviously eating. Worst of all, he just dropped us off at the last site(the American cemetery) with NO background, context or facts given. We were given 45 minutes to wander there on our own even though we saw all of the other groups had guides who were walking around quietly talking with their tour groups. Just a real disappointment. I found myself trying to listen to what other guides were saying when he was so difficult to follow.

Needs training/lacked information - First of all our tour guide was very nice, he was french, spoke english which made some of the tour difficult to understand. He asked if we had questions or needed him to slow down due to his accent. The problem with the tour is that it lacked content. It was just the basics, for example when we were at the beach in a German bunker and in the observation room, that's all that was said, no description how it was utilized. Another tour guide was telling his group about the germans looking at the boats a stereoscope being in the room and the pipes to send messages. That was what we were looking for and what this tour lacked. I think the guide we had needs more training. I feel like we could've been given a headset with the information and learned more. Luckily my husband is a wealth of knowledge on WWII which filled the gap for our group but he learned nothing. It was an expensive tour that was very disappointing.
