In the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, the garrison served as the headquarters and base for the British West Indies Regiment’s troops in Barbados. Travel back in age as you uncover the architectural treasures that display the historical Garrison’s colonial legacy. You will see the cannons, the world’s rarest Iron cannons, the clock tower, the main guardhouse, and the dwelling place where George Washington, the future US leader, stayed with his brother in 1751, as well as the intriguing tunnels.
