Educational and entertaining tour! - We really enjoyed our tour of Beaufort with Janet and learned a lot about the town and its history. The historic homes and scenery are absolutely beautiful (how can you not love those live oaks dripping with Spanish moss?). Janet is very knowledgeable, engaging, and fun! She is passionate about what she does and it shows. Had a wonderful time and highly recommend this tour!

Excellent Tour of Beaufort - Janet is passionate about Beaufort. For someone who moved there 20 years ago she is now Beaufort’s proud citizen. She shares the unique history from initial explorer’s settlements etc, to growth in early years with the summer retreat of plantation owners to the Revolutionary War to the Civil War to today. Janet gives an awesome history lesson of The Sea Islands and Beaufort. Plus we now want to again watch the 20+ movies filmed in Beaufort. In our two hour tour we get an in-depth history of this unique and amazing town. Most impressive tour from the knowledge, experience and depth we learn of Beaufort in this two hour tour. Wear confortable clothes and be prepared to walk. Janet walks at a brisk pace. While she says she is not a TYPE A - her pace and enthusiasm fit at type A. Great tour - we highly recommend to visitors to Beaufort. Perfect for first time visitors. Booking through TripAdvisor was great!

You Won't Be Disappointed - Janet is a treasure! I come to Beaufort once a year and this tour is a must each time. Fantastic town brimming with history and Janet brings it to life. She's a master storyteller and an absolute delight of a person. I enjoy history tours and this is my favorite by far. See you next year!

One of the best walking tours I have ever taken! - Excellent walking tour of Beaufort. Pace is not hurried..., it's more like a stroll around town. Janet is a phenomenal tour guide. She was a great personality and a wonderful sense of humor. And then there's her knowledge of Beaufort's history. Lots of info on not just the houses, but the history and the people behind them. And a few "inside baseball" stories as well. All in all, it's time well spent. And I think you'll find that Janet knows pretty much everyone in Beaufort!

Great introduction to the history of Beaufort and the impact Beaufort has on the history of America. Take this tour. - Janet did a wonderful job with the walking tour we took in Beaufort. From start to finish, she explained everything about Beaufort, the buildings we saw, the history of the buildings and the communities that were included in the walk. Janet has a very good understanding of the history of Beaufort and the current environment of Beaufort. What makes this walking tour a 5-star rating, is the way Janet treats those in the walking tour, having some fun with the walkers and injecting a few jokes here and there. Lovely Tour and Guide - Janet was absolutely delightful. If you love history and seeing beautiful pre-civil war Southern Masions, I definitely recommend this tour. We had a lot of fun learning about Beaufort's history and connections to the civil war. Janet was very friendly and engaged our teenage daughter which can sometimes prove difficult. Very nice day spent in Beaufort with Janet.
