A Memorable Trip to Beijing - Catherine and her crew did an amazing job for organizing a 4 day tour for me in Beijing. From the beginning to the end everything was done very smoothly to ensure it met my standards. The most memorable part about this trip was the Great Wall. I was taken to a less crowded section of the wall just about 2 hours outside of Beijing. The wall in first person is breathtaking. You will not want to miss this! Then I got to see some amazing temples, palaces, Tiananmen Square, and the amazing Forbidden City. All were glorious in their own unique way from their architecture and history. Standing in Tiananmen Square is like standing in a ground of history because you can feel the enegery of the past. From there, the Forbidden City offers history of the past and a lot of ancient structures lie within. I also, did do a food tour. Trying authentic Chinese food was delicious. On Qiamen Street there are lot of local different Chinese food from all over the region. My guides also recommended me to go see a traditional Chinese show and to try other foods after the tours Were over (note, this will be not included in the tour cost). If you have time do take advantage of these activities. Lastly, I went shopping in between tours. There is a lot of opportunities to purchase gifts. The guides will give you good suggestions for the best prices. I do thank Catherine for a wonderful itinerary and a memorable experience! I would recommend anyone who is going to Beijing to book a tour with her company because they do an amazing job; more importantly, they make it very easy and comfortable for the tourist to make the most out of their time in Beijing.

Amazing 4 day tour in Beijing! - My family had an amazing time in Beijing with Peter as our guide and Mr. Lu as our driver. We did a four day tour that included the Cuadaxin village. Peter was friendly, extremely knowledgeable (he has a history major from Peking University, quite a scholar!), sharing detailed and interesting stories of Chinese history that’s easily understandable, even to our 9 year old. He was humorous too, and was able to give different perspectives out of the many stories and history lessons he shared with us because of his immense knowledge of the subject. Mr. Lu is very friendly and kind, always looking out for us, keeping the car cool and making sure we’re safe during pick-up and drop-off. The tour company was willing to accommodate our last-minute changes to our itinerary too, we could skip many wait-times because they pre-booked our tickets and helped us go through background checks a priori. Would definitely recommend them and Catherine’s tours to anyone who wants to visit Beijing!!

Great private tour of Beijing - Amazing private tour of Beijing. Our tour guide Sonia was awesome. She made sure we saw everything we wanted, was super knowledgeable about the sites, and really tailored the tour to what we wanted to do. We ate at local Chinese restaurants that were not touristy as well. We saw Tianamen square, forbidden city, Llama temple, Mutianyu Great Wall, Birds nest Olympic stadium, Zoo for Pandas, Summer palace, and Temple of Heaven. Must do tour in Beijing!

Fantastic introduction to Beijing - This review is actually for a 5-day version of this tour covering Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Ming Tombs, Temple of Heaven, Great Wall and Hutongs (with calligraphy class) because my husband and I wanted to take it slow. Our tour guide Angela was a delight! She's: 1) Very knowledgeable: My husband is a bit of a history buff (I am not), and she skilfully tailored her tour to both give me the broad overview of the location's history and context, while including nuggets of little-known information and anecdotes that my husband found novel and interesting. She had also been a museum docent some years back and thus had unique insight into the small details of the artifacts on display at many of the attractions which many tour guides would have glossed over. 2) Effectively bilingual: We are only partially bilingual and hence opted for an English tour, but her ability to switch seamlessly between English and Mandarin made for a very unique introduction to Beijing - a purely English tour would have missed some important cultural nuances, whereas a purely Mandarin tour would have been incomprehensible at my reading/listening level. 3) A foodie: Angela's recommendations for lunch/dinner places were spot-on and affordable! Beijing's not exactly a foodie paradise but we ate very well regardless :) 4) Attentive to photography: Angela knows the best locations and angles to take photos with minimal people in the background even in crowded locations so that guests can capture the best memories from their trip! The process of booking this custom tour with Catherine was also very smooth (primarily over email), and she was able to arrange for the necessary accomodations I needed for a medical condition. I would definitely recommend her services (and Angela as tour guide!) to family and friends who're in want of the comforts of a private tour in Beijing!

Beijing and Great Wall - YES Reliable and Fun - Kept all promises. On time. Reliable. Professional. FUN. We had the pleasure of working Sonia for 3 days in April 2024. My experience booking with Catherine was seamless. Very smooth. Sonia led us to all the top sights over 3 days. We chose a longer hiking day at The Wall. Sonia took us to a place where there were very few tourists. We walked for 3 hours - point to point with the driver dropping us off and picking us up at the end. Excellent, casual lunches - very authentic. ADVICE::: 1) ask for Sonia 🤩 2) book far in advance 3) work direct with the company owner Catherine. Also, they are very open to customized tours and schedules. 100% recommend - made our Beijing visit a huge success.
