In the center of the square are the Chairman Mao Memorial Hall ,and to the north is the Tiananmen Gate Tower. Passing through Tiananmen Gate, you will arrive at the Palace Museum, which was built during the Ming Dynasty. The emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties lived and worked here, and the entire complex is magnificent and well-arranged, with distinct functions for each area. The East and West Palaces are especially unique. In the Imperial Garden, ancient trees reach for the sky. Finally, you visit Jingshan Park to view the central axis of Beijing and take in the panoramic view of the Forbidden City, concluding our delightful journey.

Fantastic Tour w/Truly Excellent Guides - James & Peter are amazing tour guides with excellent English and the perfect level of bringing to life the beautiful and amazing history of the Forbidden City and Tienanmen Square. I recommend both of these highly qualified guides to help bring the jewel of Beijing to life! Pro tip: Ask Peter to do a back flip!

Great trip to the Forbidden City in Beijing - James is an excellent guide. He knows his history and is able to explain in a straightforward way. He is very polite and attentive and with a good sense of humour.
