Forbidden City-The Palace Museum - Explore this Imperial Residence, which served for nearly 600 years during the last two Chinese dynasties. Discover the historical narratives within the ancient structures and appreciate the grandeur of this wooden architectural marvel.

Jingshan Park (Jingshan Gongyuan) - After leaving the Forbidden City, consider climbing the hill in Jingshan Park to reach the top pavilion for a panoramic view of the entire Forbidden City.

Shichahai Scenic Resort - This optional stop allows the group, if all agree, to visit the Shichahai area for a rickshaw ride through the Hutongs. Experience Beijing’s old town culture on this traditional ride, a staple for centuries in China. During the trip, you can also view HouHai Lake, a delightful spot for evening outings and dining. The rickshaw ride costs 90 CNY per person, payable to the tour guide on the day of travel.

Temple of Heaven - This site served as a place for heaven worship for nearly 600 years during the last two Chinese dynasties. Explore the two magnificent altars and enjoy a pleasant walk through the park to observe how local seniors spend their day and discover a secret matchmaking spot.

Outer City Trip: Mutianyu Great Wall, Summer Palace, and Olympic Stadium

Mutianyu Great Wall - Travel to the Mutianyu Great Wall via a scenic countryside road, arriving early to avoid crowds and queues, allowing for a more enjoyable experience. Spend approximately two hours hiking the Wall before regrouping for lunch. Opt for a ski-lift up and toboggan ride down, highly recommended to avoid a 30-minute stair climb to the Wall.

Niaochao National Stadium - Drive past the Olympic Stadium - Bird’s Nest. Although it is closed, you can take photos from the car.

Summer Palace (Yiheyuan) - Enjoy a refreshing summer view here. Begin by exploring the Palace Area to understand the luxurious lifestyle of the Imperial Family, then stroll through the world’s longest painted corridor to board an Imperial Ferry Boat (if available) on Kunming Lake. Relish the breathtaking view of this expansive Imperial Garden, a birthday gift from an emperor to his mother nearly 300 years ago.
