Must do - This tour covered a lot of ground in a single day! I can’t imagine having to navigate the HUGE crowds of Tianeman square and MASSIVE grounds of the Forbidden Palace without a guide or native Chinese speaker. Gary was a helpful guide and very knowledgeable. He also did well to avoid the crowds, which was much appreciated, although sometimes he would wait elsewhere and send us into the crowds alone and it was difficult to find him afterward. We took his suggestion to stop at a tea factory that was a nice bonus— they were trying to promote and sell their product pretty hard, but I can’t blame them after a free 25 minute free tea ceremony/ tasting. The lunch was great, although it was relatively restricted options (pick between two dishes, extra charge for Peking duck; only water for drink). Overall, would recommend the visit and this tour!

Great trip - Had a great guide called Dean who was very informative and helpful whilst on our tour. Unfortunately Forbidden City is closed on Mondays (which we didn’t realise before hand) but Dean took us to the Lama Temple with the amazing tallest Buddha in the world.

Awesome Tour Guide! - My family (adult kids) and I just came back from spending a week in Beijing. One of the highlights of our trip was our private tour to Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, and the Temple of Heaven. We feel very fortunate to have had Dean Wu for our guide. Not only was Dean extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic, but he was patient and kind. We learned so much history and also got an insight into life as a young person living in Beijing. We had such great conversations in the van as we were traveling from site to site. He welcomed our questions. Tiananmen Square was closed in the morning, but Dean seamlessly rearranged our schedule so that we could visit it in the afternoon. For lunch he took us to a favorite restaurant and ordered for us his favorite foods. It was a real treat! After completing the tour which went longer because of the Tiananmen Square closure, he asked if we would like to do a tea tasting and learn calligraphy, extra activities that were not included in the tour. Of course we said yes. It was a great way to end the day! I would highly recommend this tour especially if you are fortunate to have Dean as your guide.

I wish we could have more time with Dean... - 4 unforgettable days. We were back from Europe and planned 3 nights to stop in Beijing. To us China has always been a mystery. The country has achieved so much in a very short period of time. What we saw was amazing. The people, food, traditions, safety. The only way to dive in more is to get a tour with the local. Thats how we met Dean Wu. We have spent the whole day with him on our private tour around Bejing. Having been on all the five continents, it was amazing. He was very punctual and driver was ready. His knowledge of the history and traditions, friendliness was second to none. We saw so many places that people usually don't see. We even went overtime and that was not a problem. Being in China, there is a huge language barrier, but his English is perfect. We want to go back to see more of this wonderful country full of traditions that go back 5000 years ago. Thank so much, Dean. I have got your number. You will be first one to know when we plan to get back to the country that has blown off our mind. Looking forward to seeing you again. S&E.

Fantastic Tour with Dean! - Dean Wu gave us a fantastic tour of the 'must see' sightseeing locations in Beijing. I can't say enough about our guide! Dean showed up on time with a great attitude, lots of information about our destinations, and a great experience! Transportation was easy and available on our schedule (he provided water bottles as well). We never felt rushed. Every question was answered with a smile and a detailed response. Dean's English is really amazing! It was like a visit with an old friend who knows all about Beijing's history and palaces. Then the lunch! That was a treat! Dean's restaurant selection was so good ... delicious authentic Chinese food! We had really good food and a great conversation about living in China and current affairs. We couldn't have asked for any better ambassador to introduce us to Beijing. Thanks Dean!

Great walk through history - Visiting Beijing on business I had just a 1/2 day for sightseeing. This tour was perfect for that - a great walk through the square, then the city, then the temple. A wonderful lunch and a quick jaunt through a silk factory. What a morning! Very knowledgeable guide with great English speaking skill. I couldn't ask for more.
