The only way to experience Beijing! - We had three and a half days in Beijing and decided to book a tour for two days to see the Great Wall, Summer Palace, Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. Lisa and her driver picked us up promptly on the first day and we drove out to the wall. Lisa was fantastic, very friendly and smiley with lots of information to impart. She also had fun quizzing us on our knowledge of China and Chinese history which was much improved after spending two days with her. Our experience on the wall was fantastic, in November all of the trees had lost their leaves so it probably wasn’t quite as pretty as it could be in summer or autumn proper, but in addition to the main wall Lisa took us to a part of the wall that was overgrown with trees and not restored which we hiked on for about an hour and enjoyed immensely. We then tobogganed down when we were finished which was much more fun than I thought it would be. All in all day one ticked all the boxes and more.
Next day we went out to the Summer Palace, we caught a beautiful cold and clear day for it so the views were stunning, again we learned a lot, it was so interesting to find out about all of the various emperors and the political struggles, murder and intrigue that went on throughout the different dynasties. We were really able to appreciate the palace much much more with this information from Lisa. Summer Palace was proceeded by the square and Forbidden City. It is difficult to appreciate the scale and historical significance of the Forbidden City as it is so large and impressive, but again Lisa was there to add life to the buildings and courtyards with so many stories about the people who resided there over the last 600 years.
I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Beijing, Lisa recommended a number of other places to go in the evenings and on our final day. Definitely take a walk up Jinshan Park where you can overlook the Forbidden City and also the Bell and drum towers.

Amazing experience!!! - We had such an amazing time with our tour guide Lisa, she shared so much knowledge and background about the places we visited. It was a private tour for my mum & I, we loved every minute. Comfortable transport, plenty of time to look around at the different locations and explore! Highly recommend!!!

A great experience - We had a very good time in Beijing and at the Great Wall thanks to Jessie and her driver Mr. Liu. The two day tour was well organized, entertaining and informative. Jessie is a good guide, we enjoyed the time with her. We can therefore gladly recommend her and the guiding services she is offering.

Perfect - My daughter and myself were lucky enough to have a 2 days stop in Beijing, China. I contacted Jessie before arriving, and she prepared us a very nice and complete program. She gave us Lisa as a guide. Lisa is a very lovely, knowledgeable young woman, speaking very well English.
The first day we visited the Temple of Heaven with a very strange wedding market, the Forbidden City, Tien an Men and the hutongs. She helped us to find a good place to have a delicious soup, dim-sum, etc.
The second day fortunately we started very early to avoid a big number of people on the Great Wall. After we visited the Summer Palace and the Buddha temple inside.
Lisa was a very good guide, telling us stories about the history of all these places, and she helped us to better understand her beautiful country. Thank you again, and I'm sure, I'll come back soon to Beijing.

Amazing tour with the knowledgeable Jessie - Jessie was amazing. Picked us up on time and took us to the Great Wall with lots of interesting facts and information about Beijing, the history of China and it’s dynasties and the Great Wall. Once we arrived at the Great Wall we were not expecting her to personally take us to the top and explore the Great Wall with us! She was amazing! Took lots of photos and provided much information. After that we were taken to a local spot in a nearby town (recommended by Jack - our wonderful driver) for an authentic meal -it was delicious! Then we went to visit the forbidden city which Jessie walked us through providing us the whole time with a ton of information and history and neat facts we would not have noticed /known otherwise. We opted out of the summer palace tour as we wanted to spend more time at the Great Wall. Again Jessie was amazing and accommodating and we would recommend her to anyone looking for a guide in Beijing. Thank you Jessie and Jack.

Excellent Tour of many of Beijing's Most Popular Historical Landmarks - Jessie picked me up from my hotel promptly at 8 am and she gave an in-depth review in GREAT English of China's History up until today as the private driver drove us to the Temple of Heaven. Once there, she told me about the Emperor's traditions of praying at these temples, including some of the more niche facts like where the emperor would walk (on the right) while his high-ranking officials would walk on the left to leave room for the God of the Heaven. After, we toured Tiananmen Square, a park that overlooked the Forbidden City, the Ancient Hu Tong, and the Lama Temple (largest Wooden Buddha in the world!)
Jessie was very friendly, even bringing me to one of the local noodle cafes in the Old Beijing to eat. I really enjoyed this tour, and thought it was very reasonable monetarily. Highly recommend!

A very profesional tour leader - We booked two days of Beijing private tour with Jessie on July 2019. She speaks English fluently, so knowledgeable, and do her works with passion, and very helpfull. Once my son left his ipad at our previous hotel, and Jessie went there to get the ipad back and then returned it to our next hotel. Thank you so much, Jessie. Great experience - We had a wonderful day with Lisa in Beijing. She shared a lot of history facts, stories and insights about tianamen square, forbidden city and temple of heaven. It was absolutely worth it. Lisa was so kund and also always integrated our teenage son in conversation, which as you can imagine is a tough one...the trip was absolutely worth it to really get out of auch a once in a lifetime visit. Absolutely recommended, organisation via email was pretty easy.

Trip Highlight--It's as good as the reviews say! - I visited China for business and really wanted to see Beijing sights. I was reluctant since I was travelling alone. But I read these reviews and trusted the process. The reviews are accurate. Jessie was prompt with her online communication and flexible as my itinerary changed. I had the great fortune of spending 2 days with Lisa as my guide, exploring Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, Summer Palace, pandas at the zoo, an acrobat show (which was better than I expected) and more. I had already visited the Great Wall earlier in the week with a work colleague. He used another tour guide who was in no way as knowledgeable as Lisa and Tours by Jessie. I saw a lot of sights but never felt rushed. Lisa was fun to hang out with, fluent in her English, informative, and a great photographer for me too. The driver appeared as if by magic every time we needed him. The car was pristine and comfortable. My trip would never have been the same without this experience. I left Lisa with a copy of my book, To Be Determined: Leading with Clarity and Confidence in Uncertain Times (shameless plug) and she texted me in the US to share that she was reading it each morning on her commute. So sweet! I can't say enough about this team and highly recommend them.

Wonderful and memorable Beijing tour! - I found this tour here on TripAdvisor. My family of four incl two teenage daughters booked three days with Lisa to visit the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Hutong, Summer Palace, and the Mutianyu Great Wall as well as several temples. Our guide Lisa is knowledgeable, articulate and service oriented. She is energetic and hard working. We looked forward to seeing her each day and also hearing about her life in Beijing helped personalize and enhance our experience. The tours are well planned and orchestrated with Lisa and our driver and the very comfortable Buick touring van. Jessie and Lisa communicated well prior to meeting and confirmed the itineraries in detail. Highly recommended.
