  • Forbidden City-The Palace Museum - Following your meal, your guide will organize a private vehicle to take you to the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square, which stands as the most extensive and well-preserved collection of ancient structures in China. This grand complex houses 8,706 rooms and was once home to an estimated 8,000 to 10,000 inhabitants, including 3,000 eunuchs, as well as maids and concubines, all spread over 170 acres.

Meet your guide in the hotel lobby to begin your day tour of Hutong and the Forbidden City. After the tour, the guide will return you to your hotel.

Today’s itinerary includes a one-hour biking tour through Hutong streets, where you’ll visit a local family, Houhai Lake, a local Buddhist temple, Bell Tower and Drum Tower Square, Opium Street, and Nanluoguxiang Street for some free shopping. You’ll also have the opportunity to make dumplings with a local housewife and enjoy lunch with drinks at a local family’s home.

In the afternoon, you’ll visit Tiananmen Square, the world’s largest public square, and the Forbidden City, the former imperial palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties, which boasts 999 rooms.

Please note that we require your surname, given name, and passport number to book your entrance fee to the Forbidden City. This needs to be done 7-10 days in advance. If the dates are too close, we will arrange a visit to the Temple of Heaven instead. Thank you for your understanding.
