Next, travel to Hongqiao Pearl Market, one of Beijing’s two major dirt markets. It is renowned for its Chinese South Ocean Pearls, which is why it is called the Pearl Market. Your final market visit will be to Liulichang Culture Street, celebrated across China and globally for its ancient books, calligraphy, paintings, brushes, ink stones, and other traditional Chinese crafts.
Lunch will be at the renowned Duyichu Restaurant (Fangzhuang Chain), established in 1738 during the Qing Dynasty, where you can savor the famous Shaomai. In addition to Shaomai, a variety of other dishes and vegetables are available to order.
