- Niaochao National Stadium - Drive past the Olympic Stadium, also known as the Bird’s Nest. Although it is closed and we won’t stop, you can still snap photos from the car.
- Mutianyu Great Wall - Around noon, you’ll be driven to the Mutianyu Section of the Great Wall, renowned as the most beautiful part of the wall near Beijing. You can choose to have lunch either before or after exploring the Wall. With our VIP pass, we can drive directly to the Great Wall without needing to switch to a shuttle bus, allowing you to enjoy a 2-hour hike on the Wall.
You have the option to take a ski lift up and a toboggan slide down to access the Great Wall, which is highly recommended to avoid a 30-minute climb up the hill. When descending, the toboggan slide is the best way to conclude your thrilling Great Wall adventure.

You have to do this - Great day, pick up on time from hotel excellent tourguide, speaks very good english, very knowledable. I learned a lot about the places we visited and about Chine. What an amazing experience! - This was an amazing experience for me. I was traveling to Beijing by myself for business and had a couple of days for some sightseeing. I had read all of the reviews about his tour and Keith (your guide) and thought is sounded perfect. Since it was off-peak season in Beijing, there were only 3 other guests in my small group -- and it was a great group of individuals.
We first went to Summer Palace, and it was so beautiful with so much history. Keith did a great job giving us the perfect amount of detail and showed us all the important sites and took photos for us as well. Then, we drove by "the Nest" where the Olympics took place.
Then, off to the Great Wall. Once we arrived at the entrance, we stopped for a quick lunch at a local Chinese restaurant. Keith had ordered food for us all to share. We then took a chair lift up to the top for access to the Great Wall. It was spectacular. We got to spend a little over 2 hours exploring on our own. That was plenty of time. It was very cold the day I was there, so make sure you plan for the weather. And wear comfortable shoes -- you will be going up and down many steps. Finally, there was the option to take the chair lift back down, or to ride the toboggan. I highly suggest the toboggan. It was a fun and unique experience for all ages with no skill necessary.
As a tour guide, Keith was awesome. His English is very good too. I would highly recommend doing this as a small group tour vs. a larger group. There was a fun comradery among the small group of people in my group.

If you're Looking for a Great Wall Tour, Take this One! - I've heard many Great Wall tours operate like tourist traps. I picked this tour because of the good reviews and it did not disappoint. It wasn't a tourist trap and our guide, Keith, was super understanding and knowledgeable. He did a great job accommodating everyone in our group.

Great and efficient way to see the sights - Tour was an efficient way to see three things in the same day. The driver was mostly that, driving us to the sights, and providing some information along the way. We had initially booked for a Wednesday, and the tour company reached out to see if we could change to the Thursday, as there was a smaller group that day (it ended up being only one person, so our tour was a total of three people, which felt almost private). The hotel pick up and drop off was convenient.

Great Wall walking and lunch fantastic guide - The Great Walk part of this tour was brilliant. The wall wasn’t crowded at all in fact I got loads of empty ie no people views and we had 2 hours free time to do as much or as little walking on the well as we wanted. Our guide Keith was great and explained everything very well to us and was also very knowledgeable about the Summer palace which we visited in the morning. Lunch was plentiful and delicious and shared by our group of 6 people.
The bird’s nest stadium was just a photo stop at the roadside but good to see it as it was where the 2008 Olympic Games opening and closing ceremonies were held.
