A Must! You need to do this experience!! - Our host Lisa was the most experienced and professional tour guide in China. She treated us like VIP's all of the way. The experience at the Bai Jia Da Yuan Restaurant is as opulent and it could have been Imperial Times in China, with outstanding food and a great cultural show. I have never seen anything like it. It was the highlight of our vacation. Transportation was in a luxury van with leather seats and very courteous driver. Without hesitation I recommend this tour and Lily's Beijing Tour Guide Service.

Evening to remember - I went here with my 14 year old daughter. What can I say it was so beautiful. The staff were all in traditional clothing. We were taken for a tour of the gardens before we ate. I’m no Gardner but they were stunning. In fact so beautiful I’ve come home and I’m doing my garden it was such an inspiration. The food was delicious and we enjoyed the show as we ate. Our tour operator was so lovely from Lilly’s tours. We then went for a tor around the lake which was great. Loads to see and very lively. All in all a brilliant night my daughter loved it.

We had been in Beijing for four days... - We had been in Beijing for four days but our visit didn't really begin until we took this tour. Jenny showed up right on time and led us through our evening's adventure. Great private van for a smooth ride to the restaurant. The experience was everything we hoped for. Exquisite setting, beautiful staff, delicious food and a great show. Must say that when I walked into the courtyard, it was so beautiful that it took my breath away. Then, as promised Jenny took us on the lake tour, which is really a visit to a lively area next to the lake. Every minute was filled with interesting details and we learned more about Beijing in those few hours than all the books we had read. Jenny becomes your instant friend in Beijing and you know you can trust anything she says. Just a great, great evening. Don't miss it.

Superb Tour Experience!! - The Beijing Imperial Dining Experience at Bai Jia Da Yuan Restaurant followed by Houhai Lake Bar Tour was anything short from outstanding! Lily picked us up from our hotel on time, and were immediately at ease with her pleasant and cheerful personality. Before we dined we had the opportunity to walk throughout the courtyard guided by a beautifully costume dressed woman. The food was exquisite and the flower salad, a work of art. After our wonderful meal we walked the gardens through the lantern-festooned courtyard, absolutely magical! The dinning experience and magnificent performances just left us enamored. We then went to Houhai lake and enjoyed a tasty beer while we listened to live music. Lily really paid attention to every detail of the tour to ensure that we were happy throughout. I cannot say enough of how great our experience was with her. A professional driver, knowledgeable, kind and gracious tour guide this tour will not disappoint. Lily, Orlando and I want to thank you for such an incredible and memorable experience!!

Lily was our guide for this fun and... - Lily was our guide for this fun and informative evening out. The dining experience with the show was incredible. From artistic dance to the finer points of the tea ceremony, we stepped back into time. The location is palatial, with exquisite lighting and finely costumed servants, princes, and concubines. The food served is fresh and beautiful. The Houhai bar area is frequented by locals and provides a romantic environment for a stroll along the river. There is one venue after the next with live music the likes of which we do not get in the US. And there are musical options for every one. Such talent! We highly recommend this tour - and ask for Lily. She is amazing!!

This tour was amazing and we... - This tour was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Lily collected us on time from our hotel and safely returned us at the end of the night. She was a very helpful, considerate and friendly guide and chose excellent dishes and wine for our dining experience. The restaurant is set in beautiful gardens and the staff dress in traditional dress which adds to the atmosphere. The show had a variety of performers from traditional dancing to a tea ceremony. After our wonderful meal Lily took us to the bar area along the river and we had a beer and listened to local performers which were very good. A wonderful night and thank you so much Lily.

Wonderful Experience! - Lisa is a patient, helpful and knowledgeable guide. She shares interesting snippets of stories with us. It is definitely an unique experience at 白家大院. We were taken by the gardens, the architecture of the houses, the various performances and the food. We took many photos. Would recommend friends to visit the place.

Nice night out - Our guide Lisa was warm and welcoming, and she shared many interesting details with us. The location is amazing. The performances were brief but offered a nice mix of artistic styles. The food was just OK. We skipped the bar tour.

INTERESTING EVENING - Taking this tour, was a fun way to experience a bit of old Imperial China. The beautiful gardens and venue were elegant. The staff, all dressed in traditional clothing from the time period, helped lend to an authentic feel. Our guide, Lisa, was excellent. Pleasant and informative, she gave us insight into the past. Though we did not enjoy the food we were served, we still enjoyed the experience. The show which was presented during our meal, was varied and interesting. It gave us a small taste of Chinese Opera, music, dancing and face-mask changing. Afterwards, we were taken on a night tour to see some of the major sites of Beijing including the Bird's Nest. We then did a walking tour in the Houhai Lake Bar area, which was lots of fun. This tour is recommended, if you want something different.
