Cuandixia Village - En route to the village, you will enjoy stunning mountain and countryside views. Cuandixia Village features around 70 courtyard homes that gracefully ascend a mountain slope, constructed by a family who migrated from Shanxi province over 400 years ago. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, the road through the mountains to Hebei and Shanxi provinces served as a trade route. The residents of Cuandixia welcomed travelers, offering hospitality and trade services. Over time, the village was forgotten as expressways and train tracks altered the western route.
Lunch is available at a local family restaurant, where you can savor authentic countryside-style cuisine (lunch fee at your own expense). - Beijing - If you choose to skip lunch, you will be transferred back to the hotel, with the return journey taking about 2.5 hours, traffic permitting.

Cuandixia visit - Supernice! The guide Peter, fantastic.
Cuandixia strongly recommend to visit. Very friendly people living there, nice food and beverages.

Wonderful day - Had a wonderful time here with private tour guide Peter who knew where to go to take photos of the village from higher elevation areas. Many of the homes have been completely preserved so it was a very unique experience to see how life was back then, almost like stepping back in time. One of the highlights from the day was the wonderful restaurant we went to which served some absolutely delicious dishes in a sort of secluded and cozy small courtyard setting, very nice warm feeling. Peter is a very kind and wise person and is the most skilled tour guide I have ever met in China at taking great looking photos of people, would definitely highly recommend him as a tour guide for this place!

amazing tour and outstanding driver - peter was our driver today, we definitely had a great time today because of him. as well as being a great driver, he live translated stuff for us and took lots of pictures without us having to ask. he was very warm and polite, and he seemed to be having as much fun as us which was a great vibe. cuandixia itself also exceeded our expectations, peter helped us get lunch and showed us around, everyone was so friendly

Underrated! - My driver Ken from Leo’s private tour was extremely friendly and entertaining! He shared with us a lot about china's history and stories right from the moment we entered the car, and was very proactive in helping us take photos and ordering food.

No experience - It promised a great experience, but the driver never came to pick us up. It was a shame. I tried to contact the person using the number in the booking, but this number was not in service. I can't tell you about the experience, but there was no way to communicate.
