• The Great Wall of Jiankou - The Jiankou Great Wall can be accessed by a 60-minute hike along a path. This section of the wall remains in its original, unrestored condition, showcasing its beautiful imperfections, wildness, and primitive simplicity. It is considered the most steep and scenic part of the Great Wall, constructed during the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644). Upon reaching Jiankou, visitors will find a deserted watchtower offering a panoramic view of the entire valley. The journey from the Jiankou section to the Mutianyu section spans 10 km (6 miles) and takes approximately 4 to 5 hours.
