They can enjoy a leisurely hike on the wall for about 2 hours, ending with a toboggan ride down. The Mutianyu section of the Great Wall, built and restored in the early Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644), is renowned for its beauty. Small Goose Pagoda - Next, guests will transfer to the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, located inside Jianfu Temple, about one kilometer south of Xi’an city proper. It is one of two significant Buddhist pagodas erected during the Tang Dynasty, about 1,300 years ago. The Small Wild Goose Pagoda and its larger counterpart, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, are important Buddhist sites dating back to the Tang Dynasty.
The two pagodas symbolized Chang’an (Constant Peace) city. Xi’an (West Peace) was known as Chang’an until the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), when Beijing became China’s capital. Chang’an served as the capital for ten dynasties.

The guide will provide professional explanations.
Big Wild Goose Pagoda (Dayanta) - Instead of entering the temple to visit the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, guests will have a photo stop for half an hour. Based on suggestions from previous guests, this is enough time to see the pagoda and the statue of Monk Xuanzang at the south square outside the temple. As a well-preserved ancient building and a holy place for Buddhists, the pagoda, built during the Tang Dynasty, was once the site where Xuanzang translated Buddhist sutras.
Today, the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda Area is a popular spot for both tourists and locals in Xi’an. It is a wonderful place to enjoy charming night scenes and relax. Visitors will observe the animals eating and playing in a carefully maintained habitat that closely resembles their natural environment. They will also learn about the efforts of scientists and ecologists to protect the few remaining wild pandas and expand the captive population. Since 1987, over 100 bears have been born at the Base.

Leshan Giant Buddha (Da Fo) - Experience the Giant Buddha of Leshan, one of Chinese Buddhism’s holiest sites, on this incredible full-day tour from Chengdu. Dating back to the 8th century, the Giant Buddha of Leshan is the largest carved stone Buddha and the tallest pre-modern statue in the world. It was carved from the cliffs of Lingyun Shan to calm the turbulent waters of the three rivers flowing beneath its gaze. Stairs carved into the cliff connect the area at the Buddha’s feet with the land above, allowing visitors to view this astonishing sight from various vantage points. The views are stunning, taking in the river scene and Leshan’s skyline.
Upon arrival in Leshan, guests can have lunch at a restaurant overlooking the Giant Buddha. They will then explore the Giant Buddha and enjoy fantastic views of the surrounding landscape from atop the Buddha’s head.
The tour includes a visit to Lingyun Temple and Museum, providing deeper insight into the history of this remarkable Buddhist site and the story behind the Giant Buddha’s carving.
Baoguo Temple - Next, guests will visit Bao Guo Temple, the largest temple on Emei Mountain. It serves as the gateway to the mountain and the center of Buddhist activity on Emei Mountain. The temple faces Phoenix Lake and backs onto Phoenix Plains, welcoming the sunrise each morning and being the last place to see the sunset at dusk.
Originally constructed on the right side of Crouching Tiger Temple during the Ming Dynasty, the temple was initially named Hui Zong Hall, intending to gather Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism. In the early Qing Dynasty, Hui Zong Hall was relocated and rebuilt. In 1703, the name was changed to “Bao Guo,” meaning “serve the nation.”
Emeishan - After the Baoguo Temple tour, the guide will escort guests to their hotel at the foot of Emei Mountain or in Emei city center.

Due to the mountain’s zigzag roads, it is advisable to sit at the front of the bus and drink less water in the morning.
Mount Emei (Emeishan) is renowned as a World Heritage Site for both culture and nature. It is also one of China’s Four Great Buddhist Mountains, home to 5,000 plant species (more than all of Europe) and over 2,300 wild animal species. Yulong (Jade Dragon) Mountain - Today, guests may visit the Snow Mountain via cable car to Spruce Meadow first or visit White Water River first, depending on the Impression Lijiang Show schedule, which varies based on daily visitor numbers from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. The show lasts for 60 minutes. The Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is easily accessible via a cable car system that takes visitors to different parts of the mountain. The 13 peaks, home to several glaciers, are covered in snow year-round. Different altitudes offer changing landscapes, with peaceful meadows giving way to snow-covered paths and glaciers. The choice to visit Spruce Meadow via cable car is due to its lower altitude (3,300 meters) and fewer visitors compared to Glacier Park, while still offering a beautiful view.
Lijiang Impressions Show - Next, guests will attend the Lijiang Impression Show, an outdoor performance featuring traditional songs and dances by local ethnic people selected from villages around Lijiang. The show is held at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, just outside the main building, at predetermined times.
Blue Moon Valley - Afterwards, guests will take a private car to White Water River (Blue Moon Valley). The Blue Moon Valley is an extremely blue river meandering through a lush valley of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. From a distance, it resembles a blue crescent moon at the mountain’s foot, giving it its beautiful name. However, blue is not the river’s only color. If it rains, the white mud and limestone rubble at the riverbed will swirl up, making the water as white as milk. Therefore, local Naxi people call it White Water River (Baishui River).
Lijiang Mural in Baisha Village - After lunch outside Yulong Snow Mountain Park, guests will head to Baisha Village. In this village, they can see Dongba pictograms, mural paintings in Dabaoji Palace, and the ‘ten thousand camellia blossoms’ tree. Baisha means ‘white sands.’ The town was the first settlement of the Naxi people after migrating south from the Tibetan plateau. It was once the political, commercial, and cultural center of the powerful, yet mysterious, Naxi Kingdom. The region became part of the Yuan Empire in the late thirteenth century. The Mu family, which administered Lijiang from the late fourteenth to the early eighteenth century, had its birthplace in Baisha. The area also played a significant role in the strategic commercial network known as the Tea Horse Road.

Guests will embark on a hiking tour to the upper part of Tiger Leaping Gorge, taking a 15-20 minute walk along the plank road to the viewing platform on the valley floor. The strong currents of the Jinsha River roar through the narrow valley, with waves slapping against the rocks. Guests should have their cameras ready to capture this spectacular view. At the narrowest point, a giant rock, 13 meters (43 feet) high, sits in the middle of the river, abruptly splitting the torrents into two branches. Meanwhile, the surging waves crash against the rock with a tremendous roar. A special viewing platform was built for visitors to fully appreciate this impressive scenery and take pictures. Guests will spend 1.5-2 hours enjoying the gorge’s breathtaking scenery. Afterward, they will return to the parking lot with the guide.
Black Dragon Pond Park - After lunch, guests will take a private car back to the city center to visit Black Dragon Pond Park. At this park, they can enjoy a panoramic view of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. The park is a Lijiang landmark. The pool is listed in the Collections of Famous Pools of China due to its exquisite beauty. Its surroundings are lush with grass and shaded by swaying willow trees. The Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is reflected in its waters. At the far side of the pool, there are renovated buildings used for art exhibitions, such as the Moon-Embracing Pavilion with its own white marble bridge across the water, and the Five-Phoenix Temple, built during the Ming Dynasty.
Shuhe Ancient Town - Next, guests will visit Shuhe Old Town for a leisurely walk. Shuhe, or ‘Shaowu’ in Naxi language, means the village at the foot of the high mountain. In the past, a high mountain named Jubao stood behind the village, giving it its name. Shuhe Ancient Town is located 4 km northwest of Lijiang Ancient Town. Its central part covers about 5 square kilometers, with a population of around 3,000. In 1997, Shuhe was recognized as an important part of Lijiang Ancient Town, already a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site.

This village has the most famous and beautiful rice terraces in Longji and requires another 30-minute drive.
The Dragon’s Backbone Rice Terraces is a splendid agricultural spectacle with a history of over 650 years. The most eye-catching part of the terrace cluster is the Ping’an Village Rice Terrace, the earliest one discovered by tourists and photographers. Numerous narrow rice fields dug along the hill slopes form terraces connected by winding flagstone trails. Viewing platforms offer visitors panoramic views of the terrace fields built tier upon tier. While there, guests can also experience the traditional way of life of the minority Zhuang people. It is quite interesting to help them in the fields, try on their bright-colored ethnic costumes, and visit their unique stilted houses.
Ping’an Village - Upon arrival, guests will take a moderate trek along steps to Ping’an Zhuang Village. The walk up takes about 40 minutes. The guide will take guests on a stroll around the village, where they can glimpse the local Zhuang people’s unique wooden stilted houses and have lunch in the village.
After a short lunch break, guests will continue their terrace exploration to the No.2 Viewing Platform (Seven Star with the Moon), a 15-minute walk, which is a fantastic spot for a bird’s-eye view of the Longji Terraces beneath their feet.
