Incredible Beijing Day Tour - Thanks to Lucy and Gary!!! - We had a wonderful full-day tour with Lucy and Gary - we absolutely couldn’t have had such a good time without them! We booked the tour for 5 people as we had very limited time in Beijing and wanted to see some of the main sights, and this ended up being perfect. Lucy and Gary both arrived promptly at our hotel at 8am and took us first to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. Lucy was incredibly knowledgeable and spoke fantastic English, guiding us efficiently around the area whilst still giving us plenty of time to take in the sights and telling us all about the history and hidden details. She also helped us to find the best spots to take group photos (definitely an important part!). Next we drove out of the city towards the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall, and Lucy continued to describe the history of Beijing and the wall to us. We stopped for a buffet lunch, which was a perfect mix of Chinese and Western food for those who may not yet be used to Chinese food. After lunch we carried on to Mutianyu, taking the chair lift up to the top and enjoying the views. Lucy again encouraged us to take our time walking around and taking photos despite the heat, and eventually we went back down to meet our driver Gary again. The drive with Gary was very smooth and he was able to drop us off and pick us up very close to each location which helped to minimise the amount of walking we were doing during an already very tiring day. He was also super friendly and he topped us up with water bottles throughout the day to help with the heat! Altogether it was an AMAZING trip and we were so glad to have chosen this tour as we learned so much from Lucy! 10/10!

Had a great time with Maggie and Gary for the all day Beijing tour. Covered the key spot and the Wall. Loved it! - Booked the all-inclusive tour for our group of 4, as we just had one day in Beijing, and are so happy with the decision, as it would have been difficult to cover everything within this time otherwise. Maggie and Gary were punctual and professional, and picked us in a big clean van from our hotel. Maggie ensured we had quick entries at all locations and knew the details well and kept us informed. Dropped us safely at the hotel at the pre decided time. The lunch was surprisingly good, and so was Maggie’s English :) Will definitely recommend Lilys tour. Ask for Maggie!

Unbelievable experience - MUST DO, Maggie was amazing!!! - Wow, wow, wow!!! What a special day in Beijing. I cannot describe how much we enjoyed our day with Maggie. She speaks great English, SO knowledgeable and excellent with our 7-year old kids. She knew exactly how much history to give and when to move on to the next site. It was extremely hot and sunny and very humid on our day in Beijing but even so our visit was great! The absolute highlight was the great wall which was impressive! We took the chair life up which was an experience on its own and the slide down which was SO FUN! This is a bucket list tour and you must do it with Maggie. Our driver was prompt and car was always cool and water was waiting for us. Such an excellent experience!!!

Kevin the man - Kevin, our tour guide was amazing from start to finish. On arrival to our hotel, we were called by Kevin to confirm time of pick for our tour the next day, and also checked in to see that we arrived ok. He was very prompt with our pick up time and the day ran smoothly. He talked us through our itinerary and always made sure we knew what the plan was. Hassle free with ticketing and getting to and from our destinations. Kevin is very knowledgeable not only about where we visited (Tiananmen square, forbidden city, Great Wall) but about Beijing history in general. Always talking with us and giving us information throughout the trip. Very easy to talk to and get a long with. Kevin was also a great photographer and always willing to take our pictures. He went above and beyond to ensure we had an awesome day. I would highly recommend Kevin to my friends when they visit Beijing as he had already been recommended this tour by a friend who visited in May this year.

Tiananmen Square , Forbidden City and Great wall - Brilliant tour from start to finish. Communication was great and easy after we booked . Picked up on time - suggested everything we need and we were on our way. Maggie was an absolute delight to have as a tour guide . We went to visit Tiananmen square first, than forbidden city. For sightseeing that was full of people on China summer holidays she made sure process of entering was smooth sailing. Her knowledge on everything was informative yet also not overwhelming. Than onto Great wall of China. The drive by Mr Young in an air-conditioned mini van was restocked with cold water everytime we got back into vehicle was mich appreciated. We stopped for lunch and than saw the beautiful and monumental Great Wall. Again Maggie was full of information and was happy to go with the flow to what suited us. Had a great time. Definitely recommend and would use her next time we are back 😀

Best way to see Forbidden City & Great Wall - This is a very hassle-free way to have a great experience at both the Great Wall and Forbidden City. This was my third visit to each of these sites, but the first with a professional guide, and by far the best. Some important positive things that are not obvious from the description: this visit was to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall, which has far fewer crowds and is stunningly beautiful. There is also a chairlift that we used to get up to the wall and back down. There was both a guide, who will accompany you everywhere, and a driver who stayed with the vehicle. The driver kept the vehicle cold and stocked with ice cold water, which was appreciated in the summer heat. Lunch at a very good buffet restaurant was also included. There was a large and genuinely interesting jade gift shop we were directed through on the way to lunch, but pressure to buy jade was very minimal. Our guide, Jerry, was amazing. He knew all of the insider's tricks to minimize our time standing in any lines. This happened over and over. He was also very friendly, flexible and knowledgable about the history of each of the places we stopped. Jerry communicated with us very well both before and during the tour. I strongly recommend this tour and this guide!

Great tour of Beijing and the Great Wall - Our tour guide Lucy did a fabulous job combining historical information with interesting stories about the sites seen. She ensured everyone had adequate bathroom breaks, water drinks, and umbrellas for shade in the hot summer weather. Lucy ensured we had the hard to get Forbidden palace tickets and that all of us had a very memorable experience. She knew all the right spots to take great pictures. Lily of Lily Tours did a great job of communicating with us to confirm pickup and where to meet. Our driver Mr. Sun was very professional and kept us safe in some busy traffic. This was a fantastic tour with a great guide. Highly recommend!

Great tour with a great guide - Our tour guide Angela is very knowledgeable in the history of The Forbidden City and The Great wall of China. The tour went through smoothly and we had a great time touring with Angela throughout the day. The whole tour seems more lively with the introduction and explanations from Angela. Would recommend to book the tour again to experience the histories of China.

Great Beijing tour experience - Thank you Gary and Maggie for an excellent tour of Beijing. They were very friendly and provided a lot of great information about each of the location we visited. My family and I would happily do another tour if we stayed longer in Beijing. Highly recommended.
